Electric bicycle Law

edit

I noticed you did some work on the Electric bicycle laws article a few months ago.
I am currently trying to clarify it by removing poor reference material and replacing it with links to state or federal legislation.
The article also needs a fair bit of correction and massive editing.

I would appreciate any input or opinions you might have on the matter. Executorvs (talk) 02:59, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

A good example is the entry for Colorado. There is no reference to state law. There are assertions based on poor interpretation of federal law which are backed by not a piece of law but a memo attempting to clarify definitions which once again references back, not to state law but to federal.
Colorado's legal host mitchie does not lend itself to direct linking of statutes. This does not mean the various county and sheriff websites do not provide information. To the contrary there are many references[1][2][3][4].
what I am asking for help on is reviewing the references and possibly listing those needing correction or replacement in the discussion. I've currently done The sections united states Federal as well as Alabama and Arkansas.
Lastly, I was looking at mopeds, motorized bicycles, and Electric motorcycles and scooters. I think these should be more neatly split into two articles, where the 3-classes of electric Motor-driven cycles (motorcycles, E-bikes, and pedalecs) and scooters are in 1 article and combustion mopeds and motorized cycles are in another. I am not sure how to go about this however.
again thanks, I'm still figuring out the ins-and-outs of wiki editing. Executorvs (talk) 18:37, 5 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

New deal for page patrollers

edit

Hi Erth64net,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
