Pokemon Adoption Center

edit

The Pokemon Adoption Center (PAC) has accomplished its goal of expanding every short Pokemon article, and has basically shut itself down. Don't let that dicourage you from working on our Pokemon articles, though. There's still much work to be done. The article Cultural references in Pokémon could use some expansion if you're interested. In addition, there's a Pokemon Portal at Portal:Pokémon, which is a good starting point to improving Pokemon coverage on Wikipedia. Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 16:03, 3 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

RE:Animals in North America

edit

Based on a cursory examination, neither List of fish in North America nor List of mammals in North America seem to exist- feel free to create them or expand the articles in Category:Fish and Category:Mammals. Thanks!--Sean|Black 21:11, 4 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Edit summaries

edit

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

Platform One aliens

edit

Hi there: I reverted your additions to List of Doctor Who monsters and aliens because I don't feel any of these aliens are notable. There are already so many alien races down there bloating the article, so the usefulness of adding uncredited, one-shot alien appearances is highly dubious. If you feel strongly about it, please raise it on the the talk page of the article. Thanks. --khaosworks (talkcontribs) 23:35, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello Evilgidgit, would you like me to help you with any articles, because I would be glad to help you work on any article you want, especially Pokémon articles. I would gladly fix stubs, clean up articles, expand sections, or anything else. Im also trying to help stop vandalism. Sixth Dimension

edit

Hello there. Further to the discussion on the Sixth Dimension, I have moved the article to be merged into the main Sixth Dimension page. However, as I am not familiar with this subject I am unable to combine the information into the relevent parts of the main article. Would you do this? The merged article will now be found at the bottom of the Sixth Dimension page. All that is required is for any information included in this to be inserted into the main article text. Once this has been done, the section with the complete merged article can be deleted. Thanks. PaulJones

Dr Who Monsters/Aliens

edit

With regards to your entry on the talk page I agree with you strongly. I have a moral objection to the constant deletion of well written entries. I agree with you that they shouldn't have removed your entry. If it took four hours then it was worth listing. Anyway, my idea is that I always paste the information into a wordpad document so when some thoughtless individual tries to delete it you haven't lost it. So check out my user page, it contains full listings of most of the aliens featured in the revival series. I have only just begun however I am continuing. Would you help back me up when I post a complaint about the entries being deleted? Xdt (talk · contribs)

I am currently transferring the issue to the authority of the Doctor Who WikiProject. I shall begin my arguement now and await a reply. Xdt (talk · contribs)

I put a complaint about it on the WikiProject page and they replied in a rather rude manner. I hope I have your support. Xdt (talk · contribs)

9 Plot: or you're so awesome it hurts

edit

Great work! I've had that one on my to do list but not had a chance to watch the movie yet. Fantastic re-write and I will be stoked to remove it from my list. Millahnna (talk) 20:03, 18 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I like to write and I watch too much TV and too many movies. So I just took it upon myself to go playing with movie summaries since I saw so many long plot tags and it's probably the thing I know the most about (I think that should be embarrassing...hmmm). SO no worries; you didn't steal my job or anything. I'm just trying to work through everything with a plot tag that I've seen or will likely see (and a few flicks I don't care about that have summaries in particularly strong need of help). Millahnna (talk) 20:49, 18 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I noticed your work here and wanted to thank you for a job well-done! If you are interested in more trimming, let me paste here what I wrote to Millahnna: "Have you worked with the {{plot}} template at all? It provides a category for articles needing attention to their plot summaries and organizes these articles by month. Click here and go through the months, preferably from the beginning. For example, Cry Wolf (2005 film) was tagged in May 2007, so it has been a long time that it's had a long summary... Just wanted to let you know of this particular view to use!" Thanks again! List of Recess characters

edit
  • Hi,

As you've moved article List of characters in Recess (TV series) to List of Recess characters, it look like the new article doesn't clarify the article. so it's better to put (TV series) after the Recess. Thus, I'm moving it back to its old title. best$Max Viwe$ (talk) 07:55, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Season of the Witch

edit

Thanks for writing the plot summary! I would like to try a new approach, to have both a synopsis section and a plot section. The synopsis section would provide a brief overview of the film (especially those who haven't seen it and who want to), and the plot section would provide the details for long-term reference, especially to understand the article itself better. What do you think? Erik (talk | contribs) 17:58, 7 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Well, I'm not sure if it's really necessary since synopsis and plot are technically the same thing. Plus the film's plot is given a brief overview in the opening paragraph of the article. Evilgidgit (talk) 18:10, 7 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I decided to merge the synopsis to the lead section, making it a little more detailed. That's probably the better approach. Erik (talk | contribs) 18:25, 7 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sonic 06 Plot

Hey, I just wanted to thank you for cutting down/rewriting the plot section at the Sonic 06 article. It seems Sonic fan's tend to write really overly detailed plot sections, and while I've made an effort to trim them down for other games, I wasn't able to fix that one yet because I hadn't played the game, and what had been there sounded pretty convoluted. Proposed deletion of Hosehead

edit

The article Hosehead has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Minor Transformers character. No evidence of real-world notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
