Little context in Makeoutclub.com
editHello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Makeoutclub.com, by Resolute, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Makeoutclub.com is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Makeoutclub.com, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Makeoutclub.com itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 00:33, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Notability of Makeoutclub.com
editA tag has been placed on Makeoutclub.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Finngall talk 01:42, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
This article has been deleted twice now, and it will probably be deleted for a third time. Please stop recreating the article. Articles about websites must meet the criteria at WP:WEB. If you believe that Makeoutclub does meet those criteria, you can request an undeletion review at WP:DRV. Corvus cornix 23:05, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
You're welcome. Good luck. Corvus cornix 01:50, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Looks like other beat me to advising you about notability. I see no more reason to dispute whether or not to keep the article, but I have tagged it with the {{advert}} tag, since it still reads to me like a promo piece or a press release. Remember, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and as such all articles need to maintain a neutral point of view. I'd remove the "Profile Features" and the "Messageboards" sections--doing so would go a long way towards bringing the article back across the line between being merely about the and looking like it's there to promote the site. Knowhutimean? Take care. --Finngall talk 03:44, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Glad you've negotiated this process successfully, and I'm glad I was able to help. A little belatedly, I've added Wikipedia's standard welcome message below, which should provide you with some reference points as to how to improve your article to make it more "encyclopedia-like", as Finngall has suggested above. If you have any questions, get in touch on my talk page. Accounting4Taste 03:55, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

before the question. Again, welcome! Accounting4Taste 03:55, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- And as you will see, I removed a fairly large piece of the article, in order to meet the objections of the experienced editor who tagged it as spam, which meant it was in danger of being deleted again. I think the essentials are still there, and I think the article will now be fairly safe from deletion -- or at least, I hope to work with you to be able to improve the article if someone objects. As Finngall said, it should be about the site and not meant to promote the site. Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for being willing to work within Wikipedia's boundaries. Another editor has added the {{prod}}
template to the article Makeoutclub, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 21:00, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Makeoutclub
editAn editor has nominated Makeoutclub, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Makeoutclub and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 10:59, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Aside from an explanation that WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is not a valid argument to keep an article, and that your site has nowhere near the notability of Facebook and the others, my AfD comments speak for themselves. I do not comment on them further through user page messages. Please address any further comments on the AfD page. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 01:22, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Makeoutclub
editI have nominated Makeoutclub, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Makeoutclub (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 23:54, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
The file File:Mocscreen1.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
