Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ---D--- (talk) 21:44, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because it has been identified as an account used for promotion of a company or group, with a username that implies that this has been done by that company or group. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.

This kind of activity is considered spamming and forbidden by policies, and also violates our username policy.

However, if you feel that there has been a mistake in your blocking, please appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} on your user talk page or email the administrator who blocked you. Your reason should include your response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy (specifically, understand that accounts are for individuals, not companies or groups, and that your username should reflect this). Please check that your new username has not already been taken by checking this list. StarM 03:47, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

You do have a point about the username I am using. I thought it makes sense to identify myself as part of a company, I am sorry to hear that you feel this is not appropriate.
Regarding my additions to wikipedia - the link which I posted leads to exclusive content from the corresponding artist. It is not promotional material with short lifetime, it is simply samples of his own music given for free to the public. Any artist can come on our site and let his fans download his free songs, we don't get paid for it, we don't get anything from it, we just supply the platform for them to do it. Tell me if I am wrong, but I think that ANY visitor interested in an artist will be especially interested in getting a few free songs from that artist. This is important information which wikipedia can give it's visitors. Isn't this the whole point to it? I am not asking you to unblock my account since the username is against the rules. I only request an explanation why would you reject my link which obviously adds value?

Decline reason:

If you aren't requesting to be unblocked, there's nothing further to say about it. Will answer your other query below. Mangojuicetalk 16:42, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

The thing is, as you are affiliated with the Website you have a strong conflict of interest that makes it inappropriate for you to spam links to your own site. See Wikipedia:Linkspam for more; you are not the first to think of this and unfortunately you won't be last, or even the last this morning. It really doesn't matter to us whether or not you financially benefit from the promotion; even merely drawing attention is considered enough of an incentive to be a serious problem for conflict of interst. In this case, though, you clearly do financially benefit: your site is ad-driven, and the more traffic you get the most ad revenue you can generate. Now, if an editor independent of the site wanted to post those links, it might or might not be acceptable.. but it's definitely unacceptable for such links to be submitted by the site itself. I understand, thank you for clearing this out! Eztracksmusic (talk) 18:32, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
