Adoption
editHello! I see your seeking adoption. If your still interested I'd me more then happy to answer your questions and help you out. You can respond back to this by leaving a message here. If you have decided that you no longer wish to be adopted, please remove the adoptee's userbox from your userpage. Thanks, hope to hear from you soon! Matthew Yeager 01:59, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Adoption Program
editHello again and welcome to the adoption program!
Please take some time to think about what you would like out of this program and what you can devote to it. After you have thought about this please message me on my talk page about which areas you would like to focus on. As well, if you are completely new or you are not sure, you can let me know that and I can give you a general overview. You will get as much as you put in with this program. If you would like me to be someone that you can ask questions to every once and a while, then thats who i'll be. Yet, if you wish to be in constant contact with me and have me go over your work with you each day or so, then thats who i will be. This is your choice, just please let me know :P
Also if you could please remove the adoptee userbox from your userpage so that others know you have been adopted. If you like you can replace it with this user box:
Thank you for your time, Matthew Yeager 13:48, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
soccer + learning
editI can definitely go through your edits for you and comment on what you have done so far. For the new adoptees i have added a new section to my talk page... you should check it out. Its the first section titled "things that need to be done" the wikify section is things listed articles that have alot of things wrong with them. no internal links, no references, no leading paragraph, its lacking an infobox or a template that it should have... things like that. hopefully we can start off small and you can add internal links and references. then later work up to being able to rebuild an entire article with templates, tables, citations, expanding stubs...
from the wikify section you can look into the "clean-up" section. there they often have all the information they need for an article, but they have it in a bad order with confusing wording and such... but we can get there when its time.
so first thing is first, read through the manual of style. that is most everything you need to know about creating an article top to bottom. just scan through that and you can check back with it when you need to know specific things...
when you have time, take a look at some articles you know alot about (favorite soccer team maybe) and see there is anything you might want to contribute. then we cna talk about it, test some things out and make some edits soon. if not, you can look at some of the wikify pages and see if any errors stick out to you, that you wanna fix. let me know what you think buddy. editgood stuff, greatly improved. corrections: you shouldnt have the second "blind" and "impaired" with internal links, as its standard to only have the first mention of it internal linked. ummm, should with unlink the red link on Tandem Cycling or just link it to Cycling. over all its great!!! good stuff! any questions about editing ? have you looked over the manual of style ? glad to see you helping out, Matthew Yeager 00:11, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:Hacker rudiger.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Hacker rudiger.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use media which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. High on a tree (talk) 14:43, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Thedroughtisover2.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Thedroughtisover2.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 20:37, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
