And what wasn't verifiable? Facialfirearms (talk) 04:41, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Anything that I added was completely verifiable. Facialfirearms (talk) 04:42, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Why had you not added sources? —C.Fred (talk) 04:42, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

It appears that my info on John Browning's separation from Winchester was removed. Here in the real world the reason for Browning's departure is well known and eminently verifiable. I only wrote of Browning leaving Winchester, I didn't even finish the whole story. Anybody who knows anything about firearms manufacturing knows the story of the founding of Browning firearms. You need to do tje research before you deny the truth of a statement before removing it. I'm handicapped and can't retype things endlessly. Please research before you jump to removal. Facialfirearms (talk) 04:47, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Here on Wikipedia (and not unlike academia), you must cite your sources. Browning's departure is not so well known that it may go uncited. —C.Fred (talk) 04:49, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

From what I've seen so far in editing Wiki pages the truth isn't paramount and political rhetoric is posted as fact. Disinformation is an evil thing and political agitation presented as fact is even more evil. I am disgusted by what I've seen on here and must question the motives of people who commit these actions. Facialfirearms (talk) 04:52, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Because I don't have the jours of time to cite an individual source on something so widely kmown by so many peoplr. I get that most of you are anti firearms but disinformation is still evil. Facialfirearms (talk) 04:54, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

And why don't you verify something as incorrect when you don't know? Facialfirearms (talk) 04:55, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

In 1899 John Browning invented the first semi auto shotgun in the world. He went to Winchester and required a royalty arrangement as Winchester had made large amounts of profit from jis work. Winchester refused, only offering patent purchase. John Browning then went to Remington and while he waited to speak to thebpresident of Remington that president died of a heart attack in his office. Browning being frustrated went to Fabrique de Armes de Gerre in Herstal, Belgium with his new design. They were happy to produce it with a royalty arrangement. This was the Browning Auto 5, named for the year they first produced it, 1905. Tjis is the founding.of Browning firearms.

Show that I'm wrong. Cite your source. Facialfirearms (talk) 05:03, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have no reason to doubt the statement. But it won't go in an article without a reliable source, as the policy states. —C.Fred (talk) 05:09, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

It's interesting that my correct edit was removed but I'm sitting here watching "Pale Rider " and when I go to the Wiki page for that I see many inaccurate statements about that film. Why has nobody edited that and/or demanded the sources for that incorrect information? Facialfirearms (talk) 05:08, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Exactly. " Unsourced does not imply wrong ". However I see much other information on here both unsourced and incorrect. Please explain this conundrum. Facialfirearms (talk) 05:29, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ironically enough tjis exact same story is on the Wiki page for the Auto 5 without any source cited as well as a misconception for the reason it's called the Auto 5. I see no source cited there. Please explain this to me. I actually want to hear the reason for this ridiculousness. Facialfirearms (talk) 05:50, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

I still have yet to hear from you Fred. Can you explain your readon for censoring me when the exact same information appears on Wikipedis with no cited source? It appears to me that I'm being censored for no legitimate reason. I have enough difficulties physically in my lifr thst I don't need to try to dig up a source for commonly know information. The fact that you're completely ignorant of firearms history doesn't excuse this behavior, it only demonstrates some dislike of the subject matter. This requires me to do hours of digging to cite a source that's no more knowledgeable than myself only to satisfy your personal distaste. Please respind with a ligicsl, rational answer that explains this behavior. Facialfirearms (talk) 10:03, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

WP:Other stuff exists. The fact that material has remained in other articles does not justify improper addition into another. It's not practical to vet every article. However, it's easier to see as information is added and remove it if it's unsourced.
If you're aware of other articles that have unsourced information, you're free to flag it with {{citation needed}}. —C.Fred (talk) 14:40, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'd rather correct incorrect pages I find. I just find it extremely questionable that the only time my corrections are removed are on pages about guns or false political concepts. This shows a pattern of censorship. I can certainly dource my knowledge but it takes much perusal through a large collection of actual books. I'm handicapped and it'll tale far more physical effort than you can possibly comprehend. I do however have an i.q. of 168 and a photographic memory and those things serve me well. I will cite a single source for this but it's absurd that this is being requested when it's not only well known but also appears on another page on Wiki. It'll take me a few to be able to do this and there's absolutely no reason for it. May someone treat you as kindly. Facialfirearms (talk) 14:56, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
