AC/DC discography
editCan you stop changing the dates to the US format, please? I have mentioned it twice in edit summaries already. Date format depends on the subject, i.e. American date format for American subjects, and non-US for non-US etc, per WP:ENGVAR and WP:DATERET. Tyler Bates
editMay I ask why you inserted this large table into Tyler Bates but left a lot of items below it and not integrated into the table? Did you intend to finish it? It doesn't look great to have this giant table in a short article, with not even all the information in it. --Laser brain (talk) 19:56, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for the note. Maybe it would be good to do something like what I did for Angelo Badalamenti. I split it out into its own article, Angelo Badalamenti discography, and then put a link on the biography page. I think it looks much cleaner. --Laser brain (talk) 01:27, 28 December 2014 (UTC)

Terence Crawford
editGreetings, looks like we have a content dispute—hopefully we can sort this out before we descend into edit warring. 1) Boxing weight classes in general are not capitalised. 2) The WBO lists their title as "junior-welterweight" (or "jr-welterweight" if we nitpick), which redirects appropriately to light welterweight. A discussion at WikiProject Boxing seems to have settled on singular titles being labelled as they are by the sanctioning bodies, unless a boxer holds multiple titles at the same weight (so then, light welterweight). Of course, you are very much welcome—and invited—to join in with further discussion. 3) The sentences in "Notes" are fragments, so a full stop after "title" is not needed. The closest guideline on WP that I can find is the one regarding image captions, which states not to include a full stop. From the looks of it, the "Notes" section in question acts similarly in that they are not complete sentences. 4) Why insist on the capital for "0 Losses", etc.? The sentence starts with zero, so the following word should be in lower case. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 21:05, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- Come on, that's two articles now. This is not the correct case that WP uses for weight classes—just look at the light welterweight article itself. They are not capitalised, and most sources don't capitalise them either. Either you join the discussion at WikiProject Boxing or we take this to WP:DR. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 04:28, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- OK. Based on this and this, I'm off to WP:DR. See ya there. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 17:34, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Comment
editI am a volunteer at the dispute resolution noticeboard. User:Mac Dreamstate has requested dispute resolution concerning some of your boxing edits. However, it doesn't appear that you have been replying to discussion either on article talk pages, on the WikiProject Boxing talk page, or at this talk page. You are at risk of being blocked for failure to edit collaboratively. Please start engaging in discussion of content disputes, because failure to discuss content is a conduct issue. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Flags/canvassing
editPlease read WP:CANVASS. You're not adhering to neutrality by asking users to comment on the flags whilst also offering your own opinion. We're not allowed to do that on WP, and this section states it clearly: "Campaigning: Posting a notification of discussion that presents the topic in a non-neutral manner." By telling a user right off the bat that you're not in favour of something, you're failing to give them a neutral invitation to discuss the issue. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 21:44, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
Re: Questions
editGreetings.
- 1. There was a user (I forget whom) last year who explained to me why the sanctioning body and weight class should be linked separately in the lead. I think the reason was clarity—lead sections have to be explanatory to all users, including those who aren't in the know of boxing terminology. So, for the sake of that clarity, both the sanctioning body and weight class must be linked on their own; e.g., "IBF welterweight title". Later in the article, the record table and succession box is where the detailed link to "IBF welterweight title" should be used, as by then it gets into such hardcore stuff that non-fans should only read at their own risk.
- 2. I'm still undecided as to how detailed the geographic information in Location should be. Obviously the venue is a must, as well as the country (or sovereign state, whatever; that's for another time). But then, certain lower-level details I'm very tempted to ditch altogether; indeed I've already done so with counties/regions/districts. I disagree with leaving out the city; I would rather be in favour of ditching federal states/provinces. I wouldn't have any problem with leaving out the province of Ontario in "Rogers Centre, Toronto, Canada" or the state of Saxony-Anhalt in "Sporthalle Brandberge, Halle, Germany", but then the U.S. is kind of a special case with their all-important states—to me it would look very strange to have no Texas in "Toyota Center, Houston, US".
