• Of course. Generally, it's up to you the author to establish the notability of a subject. If for some reason the subject doesn't meet minimum standards for inclusion, it's deleted either by community consensus or, in the case of a reposted subject, immediately deleted by an administrator. Your subject was kind of borderline, so it was first discussed by consensus if memory serves. She's done generally accessible and verifiable work, but she isn't particularly noteworthy in her field. So, reposting it with only basic information made it a speedy deletion candidate. I'd suggest leaving word with the admin who deleted the article asking for the opportunity to do a more extensive bio and any noteworthy work she may have done. I made a lot of mistakes under my previous username; I'll continue to make them. Speedy deletion of Carla Brown

Carla Brown and notability

When an admin sees a page created starting with {{hangon}}, it's a giveaway that the page was recently speedy deleted. So, when I saw Carla Brown's article go up, I made that conclusion based on a quick review of the situation.

The problem I see with the article as it stands know is that it's not substantially different from the version that was discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Carla Brown and subsequently deleted. So, on top of everything else, it can be speedy deleted as a recreated article. Things that would scream "new! improved!" about the article would include:

1. If she's done something since modeling, such as appearing on TV
2. If there's been articles written about her modeling. I.e. we're not counting the photo shoot and related article, but if, say, newspaper A wrote about her posing in magazine B.
3. If multiple, independent sources are cited, to demonstrate she's getting media coverage.

As I said, I don't think the article is ready for prime time yet, and it's subject to any other admin deleting it if they stumble across it.

I'm going to recreate it as User:Fallon70/Carla Brown so you can continue to work on it. Restrictions are looser on pages in user space, so it's not subject to deletion for non-notabilty. Keep working on it; once it's improved, it can then be moved back into article space (with the history of all your edits preserved). —C.Fred (talk) 04:52, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Downface

A tag has been placed on Downface, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader.
