Gail Riplinger article
editIt looks like the same vandaliser is back, under a different IP address (he/she repeated the exact same edits, with almost the exact same edit summary). I have warned him/her again, and if their behaviour continues will report them for vandalism and sockpuppetry.
In the meantime, I have requested that the article be semi-protected (you can see the request here). Hopefully this will help a bit. --DearPrudence 22:31, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
- DearPrudence: Thank you so much for protecting the article. While on my walk today, I thought about asking you if there was a way to lock the articles so it would be protected from the vandalizers. Looks like it's been taken care of for now. Good. Unfortunately, concerning the works of Riplinger, there is a large battle on to defend her despite the facts and information available that show how controversial she is. In the meantime, is it possible to still make additions to the article since I am a registered user? I'm still getting used to how some of this works. Thanks. :) FannyMay 02:10, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, you can still edit it. :) Semi-protection means that only registered users with an account over four days old can do anything to the article. At least now we'll be able to tell who made the edit every time (instead of allowing people to post with multiple IP addresses to avoid getting caught). It seems to be a constant uphill battle with that article, but this should make it easier. --DearPrudence 03:40, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
