Copyright images
editThanks for uploading Image:KU Wildcats Jube fans dejec t6002.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you.
- This also applies to Image:NRYNKPQSGYPPLBD.20040412140737.jpg (Bill Snyder), Image:KU Wildcats Jube fans dejec t600.jpg (a different version of the AFH picture), and Image:JFYYJGYUTTMHPJG.20060212035217.jpg (Ron Prince). (ESkog)(Talk) 17:40, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
====Regarding edits made during March 15 2006 (UTC)====
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thanks. If this is an IP address, and it is shared by multiple users, ignore this warning if you did not make any malicious edits. (ESkog)(Talk) 21:11, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. (ESkog)(Talk) 21:34, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Promo-sh2342ot.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Promo-sh2342ot.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

editPlease refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Frank Martin (basketball coach). Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. fuzzy510 05:59, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Frank Martin
editStop it. Seriously. You are doing absolutely nothing constructive whatsoever, simply removing sourced information (which, contrary to what you accuse me of doing, I didn't seek out). I'm not the only person reverting your edits, either, so it's clearly not some sort of vendetta against you.
I'm replacing the source which you so strongly object to with an article posted on CBS Sportsline and written by the Associated Press. If this is truly your only issue, then thank you for airing your concerns, and the issue has been fixed. However, if you're trying to remove information that you find to be less than dazzling about Mr. Martin, feel free to revert my edits again, and I'll gladly take this straight to the admins to sort out. Please, I don't want to have to do that. --fuzzy510 07:05, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- If you want more than two sentences written about him, then write it. You've had almost two months to do so. Instead, the only thing you've done is revert the one sentence to push your POV and add a picture that has no copyright info. I wholeheartedly encourage you to add to the article, but only with sourced information, without pushing a KSU bias. --fuzzy510 16:37, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- It's not just going away. There have been three editors, including myself, who have reverted your edits to put it back in. If there was some sort of consensus for your opinion, you'd be right. However, in this circumstance, your edits go against the majority belief, which makes you a POV pusher. It stays. Period. If you think it's too prominent, I highly encourage you to spend a few minutes and expand the article in a neutral, sourced fashion. The article is heinously short as it is, and could definitely use the work. --fuzzy510 17:41, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:FFMartin.JPG
editThanks for uploading Image:FFMartin.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:06, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
