Tomb Raider
editUnless you can cite a source saying Tomb Raider (2011 video game) uses a "modified Crystal engine", then please do not add it again. Thank you. —Mike Allen 23:35, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hey Fazm1bico, we really need sources for what game engine a title is using, especially for qualifiers and version numbers. If you can find reliable sources on that matter, then we can look at readding the info. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 18:27, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
- Once again, you need to read WP:V, WP:RS and WP:CITE. Your additions are just going to be removed otherwise. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 19:53, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
- Simply communicating would also be a big advantage to you right now. Rehevkor ✉ 22:56, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- I added a source that said the Tomb Raider reboot used the "Crystal Engine" (which is apparently new from Crystal Dynamics). Apparently this editor read it from the same place so I don't know why they couldn't have added the link between ref tags. Not that hard and could prevent him from being blocked after repeatedly adding "unsourced" content and not communicating. Are they doing the same for other articles, because I haven't noticed him or her editing the Tomb Raider article again. If so, do a google search of the 'engine' they are posting and see if a RS has it. Although the burden is on him or her--if they aren't talking back what else is there to do but keep reverting their changes? :-\ —Mike Allen 00:54, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
- Um does anyone else find this strange that this person has created an article on a video game engine called Video Reality. Then created articles for the games it has suppose used this Video Reality as the game engine. 20,000 Leagues: The Adventure Continues and Dark Side of the Moon: A Sci-Fi Adventure. The Video Reality is written like an advertisement, using quotes from the SouthPeak Games president, but has no sources at all. —Mike Allen 01:09, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
- If this user really is the copyright holder of File:Video Reality.jpg then there's a conflict of interest. I'm more inclined to believe it's a simple copyright violation, however.

Copyright violations
edit- Actually Video Reality is a direct copy of this. I have tagged it for a speedy delete and I am going to look at the other articles they have created. Fazm1bico this is the perfect time to speak up, or there is no doubt you will be indefinitely blocked. —Mike Allen 01:17, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Temujincover.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Temujincover.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Denniss (talk) 20:34, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
ANI discussion

CopyVios
editI'm sure you're getting frustrated with all of the warnings and whatnot. To put it simply, even if you remove the content that is considered a copyright violation, do not remove the template. When an admin comes to page because of the template, they will check whether it is actually still a copyright violation. As far as your last edit to Dark Side of the Moon: A Sci-Fi Adventure seems to be to remove the copyright violation, and I do not agree with the user reverting it and warning you. Sometimes users have automated tools and make mistakes. I will keep an eye on your situation in case you prematurely get blocked or something to that effect. But please, stop removing the deletion templates. Thanks, MrKIA11 (talk) 09:55, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
- Copyvios are serious and when you don't have a user that responds, what else are you supposed to do? Also, shouldn't the old revisions of the article be removed since they still hold the copyrighted versions? —Mike Allen 18:24, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
Your recent edits
editHello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 10:12, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 30
editHi. When you recently edited Guild Wars 2, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Havok (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

IW engine
editRegarding your edits on IW engine:
Call of Duty: World at War (2008) IW 3.0 (Heavily Modified) - why does it need to be heavily modified? Modified should be adequate.
Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010) IW 3.0 (heavily modified CoD: World at War)[7] - again, I don't think its necessary.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) MW3 engine (heavily modified CoD: Black Ops)[8][9] - this is completely false.
I am going to redo the engine listings to make it simpler.
Engine edits
editPlease stop your annoying editing on video game engines. There is no need to link to the developer or mention it was "heavily" modified. Please see WP:MOS before editing. --Soetermans. T / C 09:56, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

Although everyone is invited to contribute, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Blur (video game), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, you may be blocked from editing. This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs - The Game, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.animeflavor.com/index.php?q=node/14988.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Syberia III game engine
editHi Fazm1bico, I noticed that you added information to the Syberia III article regarding its game engine being 3DVIA Virtools 5.0. Do you have a reference for this being the case? I'm asking as User:PhantomT1412 had previously removed it from the article. Thanks. TubularWorld (talk) 21:50, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Destiny (video game), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. It's been a while, but you're at it again: do not make piped links for VG engines to its developer. Soetermans. Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Dark (video game). There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. Could you PLEASE first take a decent look at the guidelines? And actually read them? Soetermans. T / C 11:21, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, and the same goes for Hellraid: no WP:OVERLINKing; do not add breaks for platforms; do not add 'TBA' in infobox, the article body should mention that it is an upcoming game; per WP:MOSCAPS, no unnecessary capital letters, so first-person shooter and not First-Person Shooter; horror (genre) is not a video game genre, do not add it to the infobox. First read the guidelines before editing. I do not want to continue cleaning up after you. --Soetermans. T / C 11:26, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

editHi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. --220 of Borg 11:44, 24 August 2013 (UTC)

The article Video Reality has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No sources or apparent notability outside SouthPeak Games
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. IgelRM (talk) 21:35, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
