Speedy deletion of Neuroepidemiology

edit

A tag has been placed on Neuroepidemiology requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I see that you have improved the article and another editor removed the speedy tag. I'm glad to see it. I added the article to Wikipedia:WikiProject Medicine. You can go to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Medicine to get editing help. Multiple editors will help deflect conflict issues. --Kkmurray (talk) 23:58, 15 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Neuroepidemiology.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Neuroepidemiology.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 23:39, 15 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

See Image:Rcm cover.gif for an example of a journal cover fair use rationale. --Kkmurray (talk) 23:52, 15 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Conflicts of interest

edit

Welcome!

Hello, Feigin, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page.

Normally on Wikipedia, we discourage authors who have conflicts of interest from posting on articles where they are directly or closely related to the subject. As a professorial-rank physician, I'm sure you understand the problems that such things can cause. However, for my part specifically, I want to welcome you to Wikipedia and encourage you to expand upon the article you have started. I would also encourage you, as your schedule permits, to contribute to other articles related to neurology, neuroepidemiology, and related subjects. However, I realize that with your schedule this may not be possible.

Again, welcome, and should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! Justin Eiler (talk) 23:46, 15 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
