Greeks in Greece

Yes is is supported by a reference: the 2001 census. There won't be another census until 2011, so you'll just have to wait if you want something more up to date I'm afraid :) --NetProfit 23:07, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

I think this is how it works. Here it says that 93% of the total population of Greece are Greeks according to the 2001 census (this is because there are also foreigners in Greece, Albanians, Ukrainians and the like). In the 2001 census, the total population of Greece was 10,964,020, therefore 10,964,020 x 93% = 10,196,539. Obviously the Factbook has been updated since the discussion on the talkpage; then it must have said that 98% of Greece's population were Greeks. You're right, the article does need updating.--NetProfit 23:29, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

Ethnic cleansing

Okay, you`re right it was poor sourcing on my part, however Muslim population of Balkans has been expelled or killed during the balkan wars, i wasnt refering to mutual atrocities of the Greco Turkish war..I can provide you more sources on the issue using non-pro turkish documents..

For instance: `The process that begun with mutual `ethnic cleansing` in the Balkans and progressed, with World War I, to the expulsion and massacre of christians in Anatolia, entered a new period following the Ottoman defeat...`

Air France Flight 447

I understand your rationale behind the revert of my copy edit:

"Most of the passengers onboard Yemenia Flight 749, operated using an Airbus A330-200, originated from Paris with a stopover at Marseille Provence Airport in Marseille, h France, where some of the passengers and crew boarded. After arriving at Sana'a International Airport in Sana'a, Yemen, passengers transferred to an Airbus A310 for Flight 626, which was due to arrive at Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport in Moroni, Comoros, at 2:30 a.m. local time on 30 June.

However, the phrase:

"Most of the passengers originated from Paris onboard Yemenia Flight 749, operated using an Airbus A330-200, with an interval at Marseille Provence Airport in Marseille, France"

bothers me in terms of English for two reasons:

• The grammar "originated from Paris onboard" is clumsy IMHO. How about "originated from Paris, who boarded"
• The word "interval" does not seem appropriate IMHO (see for the definitions of this word). I still believe the official term in avionics is "stopover".

I like the change from "some of the" to "some more".

I'm interested in whether this product is really different. I hope you can add more references, esp. reviews (i suppose you might add yours if you do one). i plan on viewing this product asap. I also hope that sharp can release more technical info (they may not as they may want to protect proprietary tech). Im not sure why this fascinates me, but i was also excited about Foveon, the new digital camera technology that uses 3 color pixel layers, and doesnt have to interpolate as much. Hi, I'm afraid I've deleted that image under CSD F7. It's not the best-known of the criteria, but images from news sources (such as BBC News) cannot be used unless the image itself is the subject of commentary in the article, this is because we are effectively competing with such organisations (even though we're a charity) and so use of the images does not respect the Beeb's commercial value of the image, a requirement of WP:NFCC#2. If you can find the image from the Russian government, it would at least survive for a week. I can't guarantee it won;t be tagged for deletion under one of the other points of CSD F7, but it wouldn't be eligible for instant deletion. Disambiguation link fixing one-day contest

I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed.
