Neil Armstrong
editHi there, I spotted the changes you made to the Neil Armstrong article. Whilst I don't doubt you have a well-intentioned motive behind them, we're an encyclopaedia, and your changes hardly meet the objective and factual character of an encyclopaedia. Please do consider helping us in that regard instead. Redverton (talk) 20:27, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
I just thought we could loosen up the rules for a while. The page could be completed later, in my opinion it can be "out of date" for a while. Anyway, I described the changes I have made in the comment I attached to them. Ferred (talk) 20:35, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. Once again, I emphasise I know your motive was not anything but well-intentioned. Neil is a hero to all of the world, and he deserves to be revered as such. That I don't doubt. But feelings for Armstrong do not overwrite the fact we're a serious encyclopaedia - call it cold and detached, but we must be resolutely factual in the article's tone. In anycase, I don't think we're letting Armstrong down considering all the other worldwide tributes going on. :p Redverton (talk) 20:41, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
