Cynic and other things

edit

Greetings! I responded to your question on the Cynic talk page. Everyone is blocked from editing it for a while because of edit warring on the page. Second, I wanted to ask you a question, since you're a fan of thrash and death metal. Me and another user have been having some problems on the Shadows Fall page. I'm not a fan of their music but I noticed that someone had put thrash metal as one of their genres and I immediately changed it to metalcore, as I believe that is the style of music they play. Now the other editor didn't agree with this and we had a little edit war. Well now I want to gather some consensus on it so we can resolve the issue. If you go here you may vote on what you think Shadows Fall's genre is. Thanks. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 19:33, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh, I always wave the metal flag with pride. Nice bands. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 17:50, 12 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

You did not have to be so aggressive towards me just because I got something wrong. The reference you gave to prove Warren Ricker was producer of the album was enough. if your that rude again, i will report you. User:Megastrike14

Soulfly

edit

I highly doubt that Cavalera Conspiracy will be over. If they aren't touring when the Soulfly album comes out, then I would imagine they will just be on hold. Soulfly will probably tour for a while though. I really can't say for sure, but that is my opinion. Burningclean [speak] 17:46, 11 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I don't think thrash is just on Blooddrunk. I think they always have been. Something Wild and Hatebreeder should be coming in tomorrow and then my collection is complete. I saw them for the first time just a two weeks ago in Milwaukee. Burningclean [speak] 20:51, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah there are some douches on wiki (not being specific). Took me a year to get all of COB. Burningclean [speak] 20:52, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure if Down is on hiatus again. I doubt it though. Burningclean [speak] 00:36, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

RE:Cavalera Conspiracy

edit

Hi. The reference was broken and the fact was not verifiable at the moment. I did not want to risk that the fact would be wrong and would spread confusion. That's all. Cheers. PS: Very romantic username :) --  LYKANTROP  18:01, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

And one more thing: Johny Chow plays bass just for this single tour, he does not replace Joe Duplantier as a band member (as the source says). So Joe can stay in the infobox. May the force be with you...--  LYKANTROP  18:07, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

There "is" (actually is not) a pretty funny thing called lycanthropy (ability or power of a human being to undergo transformation into a wolf, or wolf-like characteristics). Lycantrophe is actually a synonym werewolf. And Lykantrop is the czech word for Lycantrophe (and it is also shorter). Well, I am not some maniac that thinks he's a werewolf...I just thought it looks pretty well and it was the first usable thing that came to my mind. And it also expresses my relation to the nature. And why do you actually want to shock people?  LYKANTROP  18:35, 5 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Aha. I understand... Well, the society fucked up extraordinary, that is true. But I acually don't give a fuck about people I meet on the street and about what they think or how they react to me.

I think that it is interesting that (although I don't have anything against black metal) I have never ever heard a black metal band that is not a complete bullshit.  LYKANTROP  18:51, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah. May the force be with you!--  LYKANTROP  20:13, 7 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah. Old Sepultura rules. Several years ago I was like listening to Back Sabbath and so, the heaviest shit I was listening to was Master of Puppets and such stuff. And I remember the first time I've heard Sepultura... It was Roots Bloody Roots. I was like: "What the fuck is that man?!" I just loved that grooves and the deep sound. And than I downloaded the discography and started with the old stuff (Bestial Devastation is so funny). And I've also red some information about the band and I was like "the frontman/songrwiter left the band? Fuck you know!". I think I've heard the post-Cavalera stuff once in my life and just: "fuck that crap man". You can hear that it is not written by Max. It has some good riffs, because Kisser is a goddam good guitarist, but that is not enough. And than the stuff like Arise, Schizo, Beneath the Remains, Chaos A.D. and Roots was like 10 out of 10 points for me at that time. I still love it, but since I know Meshuggah, everything else got minus 20% at least..--  LYKANTROP  18:11, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yo

Thanks. I just got fed up with crap on wikipedia and I'm sure it won't be the last time. People don't follow policy or just act like total idiots and it pisses me off a lot. And it was just happening too much at that time for me to handle. I read it. I've already argued with Lykantrop way too much. Our arguements span pages and pages about this issue. I don't even want to talk about the steaming pile of shit that is "NWOAHM" and does not even exist. He's so full of crap but he won't listen to reason so it doesn't matter what you say. I already made a hundred good points to him and his thick skull won't accpe them. NWOAHM is a neologism and just plain does not exist. If there was ever an American metal movement called NWOAHM it was in the eighties when there were hundreds of thrash and glam metal bands that were famous. His arguements don't make any sense. Every single band that he has sources for that are in this "NWOAHM" of his are all metalcore. Which is where NWOAHM used to redirect and should again. Thanks for your support, though. I know a lot of people think that article is total crap. Spread the word, let's get it deleted. And if anyone is reading this that was not canvassing. I just want people to know about this article and to provide their thoughts, whatever they may be, I'm just hoping more people agree with us then don't. WOW! Even if they are, who cares? Sure, Black Sabbath started out as hippies but to say they and all their fans are hippies is ridiculous. Well it doesn't matter. Everyone should ignore that person. He obviously can't prove and won't find the source for it, so he should just be ignored. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 16:30, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

On another note

edit

I was wondering what you thought of something. The New Wave of American Heavy Metal. Do you believe it exists or not? I personally, do not. I think it's the same thing as metalcore which is where it used to redirect. User:Lykantrop sees otherwise and created the article which I am now contemplating deleting. I have made many of my arguements here on the "NWOAHM" talk page and made even more on the talk page of metalcore in the section about this "NWOAHM." I think it does not exist for many reasons and per WP:NEO and pure logic it should be deleted. Tell me what you think. If you need to here some of my arguments for why it doesn't exist feel free to ask and I'll deliver a pile of 'em. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 16:31, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yargh! Icebergs! Forests! Satan!

Uhm, about the Impaled Northern Moonforest thing. Yes, I know how to upload pics. It's off to the left side, under "toolbox" you will see "upload file." But if I upload their logo, you do realize that it will most likely be immediately be taken down? With the whole fair use things (which is crap IMO) they pretty much got rid of all logos on wikipedia unless they actually talk about the logo in the article. I didn't want that, but a lot of users made it a personal crusade to remove logos. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 20:28, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

The article Hellhounds on My Trail has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
