editHi Fishface gurl! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Reference desks.
editI have deleted your 'Zombie' question from the reference desk, as asking for opinions and speculation (and as being, frankly, ridiculous). [1] I suggest that in future you confine any questions to appropriate matters - or find a forum that deals in such fantasies. AndyTheGrump (talk) 03:36, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
- I see you have restored the question. Self-revert, or I shall report the matter at WP:ANI, and ask that you be blocked for trolling. Given the response to the previous ANI thread, [2] I suspect my request to be complied with. AndyTheGrump (talk)
- I see no guidelines about what you call "asking for opinions or speculation." I am not going to revert this, and please stop your threats and uncivil behavior. Thank you. Fishface gurl (talk) 03:45, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
- That guideline is near the top of the page: "We don't answer requests for opinions, predictions or debate." And that's especially true when asking what a country would do with fictional beings. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 03:57, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

- There is no such thing as a zombie, so it is not possible to ask a "serious" question about it. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 03:44, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
- You asked me, "Are you saying we can't ask about fictional creatures or alternate history theories on the Refdesk?" Yes, you can ask about fictional stuff if references exist. Like for example if someone had already written a fictional work about Nazis and zombies. The kind of question you asked would be better posed at a fan forum. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 12:56, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

- To add to this: while I can get over your confusion about the Help Desk's purpose, edit warring with other editors when they've told you your question is not right for the board is problematic. Please do not do that again. m.o.p 14:33, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Chess with this edit that didn't seem very civil, so I removed it. Wikipedia needs people like you and me to collaborate, so it’s one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 05:54, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
