Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Mariposa de Barrio. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Please do not remove the copyright violation template from the top of the page. I had also fixed a citation error, which you also reverted. Telenovelafan215 (talk) 20:10, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

I was currently editing the music section of the article and didn't check the article (or its edit history) for any updated edits before submitting mine, my mistake. Thanks for the notice. floppykart (he/they) 20:16, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Dhruv Sharma

edit

Hello, Floppykart good day could you help me give a more neutral composition and writing to Dhruv Sharma (singer) article and achieve compliance with Wikipedia standards? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhruv_Sharma_(singer), You see, I am new to Wikipedia and I want to learn to write them better and Drhuv Sharma has enough references and notoriety to maintain them. 57ntaledane9 (talk) 16:55, 31 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Spanish songs on the Hot 100: Macarena versions

edit

Hola! First, I'd like to thank you greatly for helping to update the "Spanish Songs on the Hot 100" article. It's an amazing article. I'm surprised that we have it and that it's well maintained as it is.

One thing I noticed however, going down the list, is that Macarena is only listed once, despite 4 different versions of the song charting on the Hot 100.

  • "Macarena (Bayside Boys Mix)" by Los Del Rio the most popular version of Macarena, debuted in September of 1995.
  • "Macarena" by Los Del *Mar* was a cover that devuted in June of 1996. I can that "La Bamba" is listed twice (Ritchie Valens and Los Lobos versions) so I don't see why this isn't listed as well.
  • "Macarena" by Los Del Rio debuted for the first time in July of 1996. This is the original version of the song before Bayside Boys remixed it. It ran concurrently with the popular Bayside Boys remix for 21 weeks. On most occasions, Billboard conbines remixes into the same entry with the original song. But this is a case where they did not, and I think the article should reflect that.
  • Lastly, "Macarena Christmas" by Los Del Rio debuted in December of 1996.

If concensus decides that these songs don't belong on the list for whatever reason, I think that there should at least be something added onto the notes of the article.

Thanks for reading this, and I will add it to the talk page as well. Nikki Lee 1999 (talk) 19:36, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Jugando a Que No Pasa Nada

edit

Hi, @Floppykart.

Following the announcement of Grupo Frontera's second album, I would like to ask you if you made sure you had consulted all possible (and reliable) references to add to the article. I say this because first of all I'm too busy and I can't sit down for as long and consult as I would like (in case not, I take care of saving some, as I did with Ferxxocalipsis and its concert tour), and because it is among my future plans for GA. I also accept if you want to collaborate with me in the process. Santi (talk) 00:23, 9 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

I've made sure that most sources I've added to the article were reliable. As soon as more sources are published, before and at the album's release, I'll start adding them. FLOPPYKART. (TALK.) 00:38, 9 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ok, so it means waiting a little bit because I'm a little bit anxious. I am a fan-fake fan of Grupo Frontera. Santi (talk) 00:41, 9 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi again, @Floppykart. I'm just stopping by to make sure a reliable reference is published that verifies Grupo Frontera's concert on Friday at the Palenque Metepec, because it counts as a promotion for the album. Santi (talk) 20:10, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I have found articles for their performance, but most of them don't state anything about their second album. FLOPPYKART. (TALK.) 21:03, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Autopatrolled granted

edit

Hi Floppykart, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 17:34, 3 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

La Chona

edit

Thanks for adding the re-direct tag for La Chona at Juan Carlos de la Cruz Reyna. I actually think the redirect should go to the song instead since that is most widely known. Feel free to make the change if you'd like. Morogris () 19:25, 3 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

The Rule of Five

edit

Hi Floppykart. Regarding this template you created, I wanted to turn your attention to WP:NENAN. If you’re aware of that and chose to WP:IAR, that’s perfectly fine—I don’t mind at all. However, just in case you weren’t aware, we usually wait until there are at least five articles (not counting the primary article) before creating the template. You created it with four. Again, not a big deal, just something I thought I’d mention in case you weren’t aware. Have fun editing! Muhandes (talk) 07:55, 27 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
