Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! power~enwiki (π, ν) 02:09, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
April 2018
editPlease stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at American-led intervention in Syria (April 2018), you may be blocked from editing. Representing sources speculating on the event as being in response to the event is misleading, and if you continue to do so, you will likely be blocked from editing. power~enwiki (π, ν) 02:24, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Alt-right. Mdriscoll03 (talk) 00:54, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
- How was it vandalism? FlowerRoad (talk) 00:57, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
Note
editI'd like to apologize for some of the templates and reverts you've received of late for good faith edits. They aren't warranted, and some were made by users who also don't have that much experience. I would generally listen to whatever Power~enwiki said above, as he's been around a fair amount and has his head on straight. It also might be a good idea if you're trying to be a regular contributor to create a user page so you get less templates. You are also free to remove the ones above, if you wish. - Thank you. I was not mad or anything, more confused. :) FlowerRoad (talk) 01:45, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
- Not a problem. The note also has the advantage of letting other administrators and users know to look closer at your edits before blocking, which is part of why I left it. Anyway, the links power left at the top of the page gives you a good overview of how Wikipedia works. Good reading, especially if you are going to be editing in controversial areas. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me on my talk page. TonyBallioni (talk) 01:48, 21 April 2018 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for May 5
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Americans, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Resident (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:16, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
The article Nation of immigrants seems like a spin-off of Immigration to the United States or History of immigration to the United States. Also, the title and scope is somewhat vague: is the topic of the article the phrase Nation of immigrants (and its relation to US culture), or the history of immigration policy and the contributions of immigrants? If the latter, the content is probably better off being discussed in one of the aforementioned articles, and/or some of the articles found Template:Immigration to the United States. Ideally, we want to avoid or minimize Content forking: the creation of multiple articles or article section covering the same subject. --Animalparty! (talk) 01:27, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
- It's about the phrase itself and its influence in American culture. That being said, it does need some expansion.FlowerRoad (talk) 01:54, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
Deletion of other people's comments
edit- Hi, FlowerRoad. Just a quick note. This diff removed a comment/!vote by Lihaas. While this was likely accidental, and I will absolutely assume good faith on your behalf, it can be an annoyance and is frowned upon. Thus, in the future, please be slightly more careful when making replies in threads, just to avoid this scenario. Thanks, Stormy clouds (talk) 20:30, 8 May 2018 (UTC).
- Sorry. FlowerRoad (talk) 20:36, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
- No problem at all. Simply a heads-up, to spare trouble in the future, as some editors really dislike this. Stormy clouds (talk) 20:43, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
