Hi Fly by Night/Archive Jul 10. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! FASTILY Happy 4th of July!!! 07:47, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Hi there FLY, VASCO from Portugal here,
Excuse me for my antics which led to your message to my anon IP (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:217.129.65.5), i am facing serious anger management problems which need to be addressed.
However - and note that it does not justify my antics - this user Zombie433 has been treating WP like his personal website for far too long, not replying to ANY messages that are not sent in German, removing messages people sent, and refusing to engage in any "group" conversation whatsoever (please see this discussion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football#User:Zombie433).
Again, i am sorry for any incovenience, keep up the good work - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 19:59, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
- No problem! Thanks for supplying the links; I can see the bigger picture now. Try to stay calm no matter how annoying someone is being. It's just not worth getting stressed. •• Fly by Night (talk) 20:08, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
I've replied at his/her talk. Sorry for any confusion. On a side hote - have you tried Huggle for anti-vandalism work yet? Just a friendly (yet random) suggestion, though. Connormahtalk 22:10, 21 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
- I would like to use Huggle. But I haven't come across a threat that has required it yet. I'm happy to use Twinkle and the rollback feature manually. When the situation presents itself then I will switch to fully-auto ☺. •• Fly by Night (talk) 22:47, 21 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
