Speedy deletion nomination of Mumbo Jumbo (YouTuber)

edit

Hello FlyingScotsman72,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Mumbo Jumbo (YouTuber) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Cotton2 (talk) 10:24, 13 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi FlyingScotsman72! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at List of longest tunnels that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Longest flights, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Houston Airport. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

King's Cross

edit

Hi. You wrote "would you mind explaining in words (rather than a link) why you removed this pertinent information?"

It's been removed because it was unreferenced. See the verifiability policy " other people using the encyclopedia can check that the information comes from a reliable source. Its content is determined by previously published information rather than editors' beliefs, opinions, experiences, or unpublished original research. Even if you are sure something is true, it must have been previously published in a reliable source before you can add it.". This is added to by the Good Article criteria : "b. reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose)"

If another editor thanked you for violating core policies, that is a problem in itself. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 09:26, 12 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Danners430. I noticed that you recently removed content from East Coast Main Line without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please do not remove sourced statements without another source which refutes the source that’s already present. Feel free to re-add the additional information that you added with sources.
