Tb Racing Articles

edit

Good work on improving Thoroughbred Racing articles. I've got rid of a few "eye-to-eye stretch duel" type expressions myself and believe that the only horses who should be called "legendary" are the likes of Pegasus and Sleipnir. Good luck. Tigerboy1966 (talk) 21:08, 13 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Placed

edit

More excellent work on improving Tb articles BUT, take care with "placed". In British English the expression "x was placed" means that x finished second, third or sometimes (in a large field) fourth. This is different from American English where the usage is "x placed" and is often a synonym for "finished second". The usual practice is to use Br E for British/European horses. Plot summary

edit

Hello Forego,

Well done!

Your prècis on the plot summary of "the 2011 film" is much needed.

Keep going!

It is far too laborious. as I commented on in an Edit summary on February 4.

All the best,

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
