Infobox dates
editHello, and thank you for trying to keep footballer stats up to date. What you probably weren't aware of is that when you update the club appearances and goals, you need to update the |club-update=
(sometimes it's still called by the old name, |pcupdate=
) as well, to a datestamp or timestamp unambiguously after the last match included in the stats. That date or date/time appears in the words visible at the bottom of the stats box, that say " Senior club appearances and goals counted for the domestic league only and correct as of ...", so that the reader knows when the stats go up to. The easy way, if you're bringing the stats up to date, is replace the contents of the parameter with five tilde characters ~~~~~ which the system will convert into the current date and time. But if you prefer to use a bare date, please set it to a date after the player's last match. And when you update a career stats table, if it's got a line at the top that says something like As of match played..., you need to change the date to the last matchday included in the stats.
It sounds complicated now, but if you stay here any length of time, it becomes a habit :-) cheers, Struway2 (talk) 21:22, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
ok thanks for telling me will make sure i do it in the future
- Please keep this in mind. Mattythewhite (talk) 21:26, 2 November 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, that is how you are supposed to update the infobox dates, but for stats tables you write the day the match was played. Mattythewhite (talk) 21:30, 3 November 2014 (UTC)

editNo, I am making Wikipedia better by challenging and removing unsourced content about living people, see WP:V and WP:BLP. GiantSnowman 20:33, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

- p.s. Judging by your edit history, it looks to me that you are User:Joshuaforest reborn. Bikeroo (talk) 11:08, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
User:GiantSnowman
editI don't know why you moved User:GiantSnowman to Book:GiantSnowman (and similarly with User talk:GiantSnowman), but this was obviously in error so I have moved them back again. --David Biddulph (talk) 15:39, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
- @David Biddulph: - this is a sock of a blocked user with whom I have a bit of history, probably explains his 'accidental' (me thinks not) move of my page... GiantSnowman 18:24, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
