I find it silly as all get-out for a bunch of references to all refer to the same reference. why not just simply say "1 - 52. (the reference)"?

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use talk pages for inappropriate discussion, as you did at User talk:Wtshymanski, you may be blocked from editing. To Wtshymanski - I'm sorry that I did what I did to your area. It was done mostly in ignorance. I was appalled that you had taken away my writing so quickly. You had summarily dismissed me; I was trying out the replacement feature, mostly because what I had to say was relevant to your discussion, albeit late, and to see how it worked. Too, I wanted to get what I had to say put back on. I thought it was important. Maybe you are as frustrated by your equipment as I am with this phone, but it appears that you have a fragile ego. How sweet! I love you too. I have asked on four separate occasions whether you wish me to stop watching and posting to your talk page. You have always deleted my question without answering it. I can only conclude that, like the proverbial pig,[1] you likeminded it and welcome my input. Feel free to write the magic words "please stay off my talk page" if I am wrong.

FormerTrafficCrashPupil seems like a nice fellow who wants to do the right thing, so anything I can do to keep him away from one of the most aggressive and sarcastic editors on Wikipedia[2] is worth doing. --Guy Macon (talk) 01:11, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

To amplify a bit:

1. An article talk page is expressly not a forum. See the last bullet item at WP:TALKNO: "Do not use the talk page as a forum or soapbox for discussing the topic: the talk page is for discussing how to improve the article, not vent your feelings about it."
2. Users' talk pages are also not for general discussion unrelated to improving the encyclopedia. See WP:USERTALK. The rules here are more loosely defined and less strictly enforced than the ones for article talk pages, but still, user talk pages are not for discussion about your reactions to what you learned from an article.
3. As noted above by Guy Macon, whatever you put on a user talk page, the page owner is free to delete it at any time—whether it is within the rules for it to be there or not. ("I don't want to talk about that.") It is disruptive to restore such content after the page owner deletes it, even if you disagree with their reason. Describe your feelings on your own talk page if you like.

To Guy Macon and JEH

This is now my third try at trying to say something to you guys. the first time what I said about written into the middle of my first statement. so I lost that whole thing. next I had to reget your names because I didn't remember them. upon my return there was nothing to return to. needless to say I am a newbie. I cannot stand all the shuffling back and forth that this thing does too. Sometimes up and down is the same thing as back and forth. I did not mean to give grief to the person that you guys were complaining about that I was doing it too. and to think that all of this started because I wanted to change ot to to. The simplest of things aren't even simple. So if you guys can help me to get out from under my super stupidity I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Another great question is why does my pointer pointing up to another place 4 lines up instead of where I'm going to? It's really great having a cursor to direct me as to where I really am. Sorry, but I have no idea what you mean by "shuffling back and forth that this thing does" or "sometimes up and down is the same thing as back and forth". Or "my pointer pointing up to another place 4 lines up instead of where I'm going to". Are you using the Wikipedia mobile editing app? Perhaps you should attend a Wikipedia editors' meetup near you, bring your device, and ask someone to look over your shoulder. I suspect it's a problem with your device, but without seeing it happening, I have no idea.

Thanks for responding so quickly. Yes everything I'm doing is phone. It's not so bad early on athnt when I get way on down the line it really interferes. Like in this last sentence I wanted 'than' instead of 'that' which I cannot get to that. It's all frustrating. You see the result of trying to get 'that' to resemble 'than.' 'athnt' doesn't cut it. Thanks for your comments about what was going on with wtshymanski. I wish I could respond in the area in which I'm supposed to be responding, but I can't. I always have to start a new section cause I don't know how. and I'm wondering what in the world have I gotten myself into? A "shy man" we do not have with this "wtshymanski." You respond within an existing section by editing that section. A colon (:) in the left margin, at the start of a paragraph, creates the indentation. On each of your paragraphs, use one more colon than the person you're replying to did. Jeh (talk) 01:35, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

Okay jeh, I must have misunderstood what you wrote. I thought I had to put the colon (:) at the beginning of the paragraph instead of placing it in as you would in wysiwyg. Anyway, your instructions are very helpful and I appreciate them. It's too hard to change an entire paragraph, so I'm going to leave it as is until I can get to another place, i.e., library equipment, with Wikipedia.
