Citing sources

edit

Hello, thank you for your additions to the French Polynesia article. However, you did not cite any sources]] for your additions to that page, so I added a {{fact}} tag to note that they need a citation. If you could add a reference, it would be appreciated; see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners for help with that. Also be careful when adding text in between information that is already referenced; in the article, the sources for the relevant statements were generally listed at the end of each paragraph. Hello Graham87. Thanks for your comment on my talk page. I have added a reference about Tahiti being called "Isla de Amat" in some maps. I have added a link to a map website called Getamap.net where this name appears. I hope this is sufficient. Thanks again. Fortis est Veritas (talk) 21:37, 4 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks very much. Could you add some refs for the other sentences you added? "In 1772 The Spanish Viceroy of Peru Don Manuel de Amat ordered a number of expeditions to Tahiti ..." and so on. Graham87 05:14, 5 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, all good now! Graham87 01:43, 6 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
My pleasure. Fortis est Veritas (talk) 20:55, 7 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited History of the Americas, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Hispanic American and French Empire (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
