- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

editHello, I'm FlightTime. I noticed that you recently removed content from Santa Susana Field Laboratory without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - FlightTime (open channel) 23:08, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @FlightTime!
- Thanks for your work maintaining quality editing on Wikipedia. I'm just seeing that you messaged me here. I left you an extensive message on your Talk page. I'm new to Wikipedia editing so not sure how this happened, but basically, I in fact did not remove content from the page – I edited some content, then a different user moved it, and it looked to you like I removed it. Also, somehow (I'm guessing related to your action) all of my other edits to the Santa Susana page got reverted. I'm hoping my edits can be restored, as I believe they are quality, beneficial edits, and I believe the problem you identified was a misunderstanding! If I somehow played a role in causing this confusion, I hope to understand better so as to avoid similar problems in the future. I look forward to discussing this further with you.

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Santa Susana Field Laboratory, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - FlightTime (open channel) 23:08, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
