Following your comment, I decided to ask for a username change using the form, in order to avoid any further confusion of my personnal account with the mentioned Tribunal des droits de la personne. Thanks for letting me know about this issue!

Help me! Infobox Human Rights Tribunal

edit

Hi, I need help to make a modification on the Human Rights Tribunal page. The infobox on the right doesn't show the correct informations and the order doesn't correspond to the information that appears in the infobox on the French version of the page (which is the original page). I have tried to modify the name of the categories and their order, but it seems that wikipedia coding is too complicated for my limited coding capacities...

Could someone help me so that the informations in the infobox are displayed like this:

The order is set by the template. The English Wikipedia and the French Wikipedia do not use the same templates and therefore the order and descriptions are different. You will not be able to get it to match the French template exactly because we use them broadly and for different things. Mkdwtalk 22:02, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

@WhatamIdoing: Is there any way I could create a table that would match or display the same informations? Because what the infobox court offers doesn't allow to display the essential information about the Tribunal in question. talk 14:01, 11 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Well, there's always a way. Order's difficult, because it means convincing everyone else to go along with it, probably for all courts everywhere. But adding information is usually pretty easy. Which specific items are missing? WhatamIdoing (talk) 21:03, 11 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
The items that are missing at the moments are "Type of tribunal" and "Language". "Type of tribunal" refers to the whether the tribunal or court is a first instance court, an appeal court or a last resort court, a judicial court or an administrative tribunal, etc. This kind of information is different from what should appear in "Jurisdiction", as this usually refers to the country or state from which the court or tribunal takes its authority. The information under "Type of tribunal" doesn't fit under the existing "Type" item, as this refers to "partisan election/non-partisan election/legislative selection/executive selection/co-option/etc" according to the template... In the meantime, I added some informations under other items, but it's not as appropriate as it could be. Thanks a lot for your help with this, I really appreciate it! :) FreedomAdvocate1990 9:50, 19 October 2016 (UTC-5)
Done [1] I'm not entirely certain that the |tribunal-type= needs to be separate from the other |type=, so perhaps someone will boldly merge them later. WhatamIdoing (talk) 02:28, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Why did you remove this? (Please {{ping}} me.) WhatamIdoing (talk) 19:51, 10 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

@WhatamIdoing: I removed the change I made to the page because the 3:29 PM modification was a false maneuver from my part and should never have been made.

I think should have been made. It's incomplete (the names of the parameters without descriptions/examples/fancy details), but I think it actually would be a reasonable first step. Will you mind if I restore it? WhatamIdoing (talk) 20:59, 11 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
If you think it should be restored, go ahead, I don't mind. FreedomAdvocate1990 9:27, 19 October 2016 (UTC-5)
