Speedy deletion of "Hudson Highlands Photo Workshop"
editA page you created, Hudson Highlands Photo Workshop, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how it is important or significant, and thus why it should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for companies in particular.
You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

- Hello Freestoneriver. I'm sorry but I had to delete the article you created, because it qualified for speedy deletion, as it did not assert why this particular organisation is important or significant. This does not mean that your contributions here are not welcome! It's just that Wikipedia has rules regarding what qualifies for inclusion: in Wikipedia's jargon, only things that are notable can have articles written about them. Before recreating this article, please familiarise yourself with these rules. If you need anything, feel free to contact me on my talk page. Salvio Let's talk about it! 02:29, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
I saw your message on my talk page - have you read Salvio's message right above me? Your article was deleted because it did not show the organization it involved was important or significant. Wikipedia requires articles to be notable - some of the guidelines can be found on these pages: WP:GNG, WP:Notability, and WP:Notability (organizations and companies). Your article did not attempt to explain why the organization was notable. Kevin (talk) 03:03, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
