Hello Frosty
People are editing the page with a fake item with no sources. I am simply removing them. The (In his dreams) line was a joke. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TiffanyMcMichealson (talk • contribs) 03:26, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
- I see, it would probably be better (and less confusing) to simply remove false information rather than making it into a joke, seeing as how I didn't see the false information being added and had no way of knowing. Thanks for reverting vandalism though. —Frosty ☃ 03:29, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
Blease ban user "Zachrance" from making edits to that particular page. He keeps vandalizing the orginal wikipedia entry with his false item. He is now reverting to trolling the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TiffanyMcMichealson (talk • contribs) 03:39, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
- No can do, I am not an administrator. However, I will request the page be protected temporarily. —Frosty ☃ 03:48, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
Please lock the Frankie Grande wikipedia page
People are trolling and vandalizing it by putting in a fake partner on his profile page. Frankie Grande has been single for a couple of years and people are putting in a fake relationship with someone who has no relations to him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TiffanyMcMichealson (talk • contribs) 03:50, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
- As I said before I am not an administrator. I do not have access to the blocking, deleting or protecting tools. All I can do is request these things be done by someone else. My advice to you is to not engage them further for now, last I checked the user in question was on a level 3 warning and will be soon blocked if they persist. Just sit on the sidelines for a while, if they are guilty of wrong doing they will be blocked. —Frosty ☃ 03:54, 27 October 2014 (UTC)

Edit outs
Frosty, why do you edit out something on a page built to be edited? I'm up all night, sick as hell, cheesed off at the Hall of fame pundits. 22 years as a stagehand, including being production coordinator at the concert for the hall, Cleveland '95. Please let me batch for a minute. I earned it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hazmatmonkey (talk • contribs) 06:14, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
Heyyy
So I was strolling through the page, Orphan, and then found myself on the page Native Americans in the United States. I saw Jacoby Ellsbury listed and I was like, neato.
Then I checked the history and came across this Australian kid that likes to admin Uncyclopedia. Would that Australian happen to be Sir Frosty? As in you? Eric - Contact me please. I prefer conversations started on my talk page if the subject is changed 22:01, 28 October 2014 (UTC)

Cold war medal article that you fixed
Frosty, there is a massive propaganda campaign going on under Russian order and links to this article are widely used on russian news sites. The article is untrue and in my edit of it I provided an explanation why. There is no official cold war medal, it's a fake! You can remove the article all-together if you don't like my edit, but please don't help using wikipedia as a source of russian propaganda. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.72.156.77 (talk) 10:19, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- The article cited multiple sources and a simple google search of the subject gave many results, so I do believe the medal exists. If you feel it is biased in some way or needs clean up, make a discussion about it on the talk page. However, you shouldn't just blanks pages if you feel something is wrong. Reasoned discussions with other editors is the best way to get things done. —Frosty ☃ 10:38, 29 October 2014 (UTC)

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Wikipedia:Main Page alternative (editable): you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 01:27, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
- Isn't that page in itself a sandbox of the main page? I didn't feel a warning was necessary given that. Please correct me if I'm wrong. —Frosty ☃ 01:34, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
- After you say that, I actually believe you to be correct (however I am still unsure on the matter). My apologies. --I am Kethrus Talk to me! 01:38, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

- I don't intend to reinstate the edit; it always raises hackles among the show's fans. There are dozens of sources that have taken note of this obsesssion of Stewart's, however, and it doesn't do justice to readers who want to learn about the show to avoid informing them about what is a pervasive and characteristic trope.Syzygos (talk) 03:17, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

WHY ARE YOU DELETING FACTUAL INFORMATION JUST COZ YOU DONT LIKE IT
HI, A simple question for you , but I think you will not answer , HOW can a fact that is true and been shown in an English court of law to be a true fact, be classed as, in your words " negative unsourced content" I can provide the relevant documentation to prove what I entered on the BAFRA page , and you have taken it upon your self to sensor a matter of fact. Can you please show me in the Wikipedia rules , were it stats that facts should be removed from the pages and also why it is also classed as defamatory. Please remember I can provide documentation stamped by a judge in an English court of law to prove this fact , also documentary evidence , signed by the person I was naming. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.152.18.72 (talk) 13:57, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
- The key point you have missed is unsourced, you did not provide an external link or reference in the article which confirmed your claim. For all I know, you could have just been making it up. —Frosty ☃ 22:18, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
from archive 5
- Please understand that I, revert a lot of edits like that every day. And by edits like that I mean, edits that sound slanderous but at the same time COULD be true. I don't have time to look it up in every case, so I remove it. The automatic messages you receive tell you why you have been reverted and I'm now asking you to please include sources if there is even a slight chance information you add could be questionable and also to keep your wording as neutral as possible. Attacking me is not doing you a service here, I'm telling you how to correct this and believe me when I say I don't have to help you, but I am. —Frosty ☃ 00:23, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- It needs to be available in the form of a link to an external website. —Frosty ☃ 00:37, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- They should when it comes to potential libel against a significant person. —Frosty ☃ 00:44, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- You have no evidence, no sources and it's still slander. I am just repeating myself here, you need something more than just the claim you are some person (which I have no way of knowing if you actually are) coupled with half a sentence of anger in an article. —Frosty ☃ 00:56, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
- Source information does not have to be available online or linkable, but you need to identify the source so other people are able to verify the claim if they want. If your source is a court decision, see Legal citation for how to reference that court case and Wikipedia:Citing sources for why we need to identify our sources. Please keep in mind that it's not just about being able to reference a source - the information has to be relevant to the subject. The claim of adultery does not seem to be relevant to information about the Trophy, but it would be relevant on the referee's biography page (if it existed). If the claims have caused a scandal affecting the Association, resulting in a court case and media coverage, then such information might be added to the Association's page under its own heading. Crētus (talk) 23:39, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
I fully see your point cretus, and your explanation has made more sense to me than the previous entry's. I fully understand Frosty's point now 86.152.18.72 (talk) 20:18, 13 November 2014 (UTC)

- How does it know what's vandalism and what's not? Does it filter words? JBeags (talk) 23:11, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
- Not sure exactly how, but it assigns a number score to edits on the Wiki. The higher the number the more likely it is vandalism. It's based around key words, age of the account, has the user been warned about vandalism before, etc. But that's probably simplifying it a lot. —Frosty ☃ 00:26, 18 November 2014 (UTC)

Batman vs Superman
Hello!
It is against Wikipedia rules to accuse people of vandalism when no such vandalism has taken place and could result in you having a 'meeting' with some wiki higher ups. I made the edit in order to see what my ip address was in order to check recent edits. Unfortunately by the time the edit was confirmed on my screen I already had a message on my talk page, meaning I was unable to revert. As such, what I did was clearly not vandalism.
Kind regards, a very tired ip address (which the wiki bot will sign anyway) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.222.229.123 (talk • contribs)

- There was an interwiki link to the Covalent Bond article already present in that sentence. If people wanted to know information about Covalent Bonds, all they would have to do is follow that link. There is really no need to include definitions in articles, all you need to do is link to the word you are defining with an interwiki link. —Frosty ☃ 22:10, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

Rebuttal on Update 11/28/2014
Frosty,
You said that my edits to the Second Invasion of Manchuria were redundant because I used Joseon instead of Korea. However, in the historical context, there was no "Korea" during that time period. The use of Korea did not come into existence until the the modern age and so, during that time people living on the Korean peninsula would identify themselves as Joseon. As such, I believe my original changes should be reinstated in order to articulate a more historically accurate description. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.244.131.216 (talk) 03:08, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
- Hmmmmm perhaps you are right. However, the country used in the text should match that of the title. IMO, your best course of action would be to open a discussion about moving the page and changing the name within the text. However, at the current title it may confuse some readers if you alter the text. —Frosty ☃ 06:01, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
