Due to the delicate situation regarding the article, and the numbers specifically, I removed your "May 9" addition and the numbers. again, I must ask you to be more careful. The article http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24526442/ has May 8, 2008 as a date, see it: all events are for May 8. Yeah thanks. It gets problematic because different news sources describe the deaths in different ways. To answer your question. Yeah I am a Somali. Unfortuantly I came to the UK has a child so my knowledge of Somali is pretty much dead. English is my first language. I can only speak conversational Somali but I can't read it. My parents how ever frequent Somali websites for news and a lot of what goes out in Somali websites only 5% goes on the english websites. There is a wealth of photos of Ethiopian atrocities,Somali and Ethiopian soldiers beating and looting civilians and of rebel fighters killing them. Also there is more attacks there. A recent one I heard was Ethiopian soldiers accidentally mortaring a TFG base a month after some of their soldiers killed TFG soldiers. Furious Stormrage (talk) 11:49, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Greetings, Thought you'd like to know that there appears to be a sockpuppet on the Press TV page. Those series of "users" that keep trying to insert blatant POV complete with blog-derived sources, etc.? They're almost certainly one and the same person. I've opened up a sockpuppet case here. My feelings on Somalia

Yes I am a Somali living in the UK. When it comes to Somalis and Somalia. I am always deppressed. My people have thoroughly,thoroughly destroyed every single shred of pride and dignity I had in being a Somali. Both in Somalia and the ones in Europe and America. This latest conflict is one of the stupidest wars in my opinion. It didn't have to end like this. All though I'm neutral in Wikipedia deep in my heart I am nothing but that. Sharif has disappointed me and many other Somalis. He made a peace agreement with a group that was barely non-existent. It gave him nothing but Western recognition. The worst thing was that he benefited the most from it yet he contributed the littlest to the resistance effort. He kept urging the resistance to stop fighting. They Insurgents ignored him and thanks to their blood,sweat and tears it gave him a better position to negotiate with. When he did gain power he picked up the book of the former president Yusuf. He now supports forgien troops despite being against it. He now doesn't really care much for Sharia and had to be forced into by Hizbul Islam and the Hawiye clan elders. He now is happy to visit the Ethiopians responsible for the deaths of 16,000 people. He's happy to visit African Union troops wounded but not the Somali civilians wounded/killed by the African Union troops. His positions don't matter to be much. I'm already jaded. It's the lies though. He goes around asking for foreign troops and then denies it.

Hizbul Islam/ARS also get on my nerve. They are to tribal and consequently have power hungry clan warlords. Indhaadde should have never been in it. Now he's tearing the group apart in order to gain more power for himself. The others should have treated him the way Al-Shabab treated him. No warlords who made people suffer should be in the group. They chased him out of Lower Shabelle and freed the people there.

Al-Shabab. I laugh in pain when ever I think of them. They could be Somalias best hope. They are the only group that are bonafide non-tribal. They see everyone in terms of Muslims and Somalis and not clans. They were willing to make ignore the tribal tendencies of the people living in Kismayo their most important city and made mayor a guy from Somaliland who is of a different tribe. Their only problem which is major is their tendacy to actually behave like Al-Qaeda. If they stop acting like terrorist and stop imitating them then they would have my support. I'm to pissed off to support anyone.

I don't think Somaliland should be independent to be honest. Most of the argument is based on lies about the unification or the dictator Siad Barre. That's not good enough for me. They base their country on the old British Somaliland not on clan so they are in effect forcing people to be part of an "independent nation". The very thing they secessionist were complaining about when they were in a union. To be honest it's been my experience that there is actually no real feeling for independance outside of the big cities in Somaliland. The kids in Diaspora support Somaliland only because they parents do and many Somalis in the rural areas don't care about secession. It's an idea ran by a few clans and intellectuals.
