One of the sources is an interview, which doesn't count, and the other (cited multiple times) isn't alone enough. The paragraph added information from reliable sources, apart from you are giving opinions, and WP is not based on personal opinion but on information or facts. Hi FMA, nice to meet you. (Hope we can work together). Firstly, I don't have any bias as I am not from any country affiliated in this article. The reason the content was removed was because it was disproved by official and cited sources. Please let me know if you'd like to explain why the section you added adds to the article. I'd be glad to organize a Google Meet or Skype meeting to further discuss this. Also, to explain, the reason it is irrelevant is because FIFA stating that Uruguay has 2 World Cups has nothing to do with their recognition of the 4 World Cup equivalent titles, as stated personally to me when I visited the FIFA Museum in Zurich and through various official documents. Adding that "2 world cups" section essentially adds a bias that FIFA may not be sure of what they've been approving for decades, and officially since 1992.

Lastly, since you asked for an official reason for removing that section, I added it to the log: "Irrelevant section was removed stating that FIFA recognize Uruguay as 2x World Cup winners because the point has nothing to do with FIFA's official recognition of Uruguay's 4 non-amateur FIFA world titles. Adding "nevertheless" implies that there are doubts on FIFA's part or that the 2 World Cups have more value than the other titles. This has been subsequently disproven by various official FIFA sources. Please let me know if you disagree the comment, and I can meet at any time to discuss it. Hola, qué tal? Gracias por tus amables palabras, yo también espero que este intercambio sea una real colaboración, no sólo en este artículo sino en otros proyectos futboleros. Te comento que sin embargo he reestablecido el párrafo que vos suprimiste, por las siguientes razones:

1) El texto que yo introduzco, es para diferenciar entre "títulos mundiales" y "FIFA World Cup", que parecen lo mismo pero no lo son. Uruguay ganó 4 títulos a nivel mundial, eso es irrefutable, pero la FIFA sólo puede reconocer dos "World Cup" debido a que los JJOO no entran bajo su órbita (al menos en los años comprendidos).

2) para borrar un párrafo como vos lo hiciste, deberían haberse dado ciertas condiciones que en este caso no hay: a) vandalismo; b) falta de fuentes confiables. Caso contario, el texto debe mantenerse y en todo caso, si alguien (como vos) no está de acuerdo, discutirse en la talkpage del artículo con otros usuarios que puedan dejar su opinión.

3) Para casos como éstos, donde hay diferencias de criterios, siempre es necesario un consenso, pero suprimir de buenas a primeras porciones de texto escritas bajo un punto de vista neutral y citando fuentes filedignas, es una práctica que WP desaconseja (y sanciona, en caso que las cosas llegaran a un punto de intransigencia extremo, claro está).

Hi FM. Thanks for your message. You're right, FIFA does recognize that the World Cup and the Olympics were different events. However, the paragraph was colloquially confusing (I'm assuming you're not a native English speaker, so forgive me if I'm wrong) So, it was shortened to make it clearer and the attached official sources directly from the FIFA Museum and the 2024 edition of the History of the FIFA World Cup book. These sources override and supersede any sports website reporting on a social media post, which amounts only to conjecture, in favour of FIFA directly stating it for themselves in their approved publications.
