Speedy deletion nomination of Carbon Dioxide Effects and Assessment Program

edit

Hello Fyi&otherinfo,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Carbon Dioxide Effects and Assessment Program for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ging287 (talk) 20:26, 2 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Elf owl may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Conflict of interest in Wikipedia

edit

Hi Fyi&otherinfo I work on conflict of interest issues here in Wikipedia. Your edits to date pretty much all you do is add references to books published by Sam Biondo and written by Ester Ellen-Poe. I'm giving you notice of our Conflict of Interest guideline and Terms of Use, and will have some comments and requests for you below.

  Hello, Fyi&otherinfo. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you.

Wikipedia is a widely-used reference work and managing conflict of interest is essential for ensuring the integrity of Wikipedia and retaining the public's trust in it. As in academia, COI is managed here in two steps - disclosure and a form of peer review. Please note that there is no bar to being part of the Wikipedia community if you have a conflict of interest; there are just some things we ask you to do (and if you are paid, some things you need to do).

Disclosure is the most important, and first, step. While I am not asking you to disclose your identity (anonymity is strictly protecting by our WP:OUTING policy) would you please disclose if you have some connection with anyone about whom you have edited (including adding references)? You can answer how ever you wish (giving personally identifying information or not), but if there is a connection, please disclose it. After you respond (and you can just reply below), perhaps we can talk a bit about editing Wikipedia, to give you some more orientation to how this place works. You can reply here - I am watching this page. Thanks! Jytdog (talk) 02:56, 8 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

I cut the reply given to me here, and and am pasting it below Jytdog (talk) 20:34, 9 February 2016 (UTC) Reply
The additional material that I contributed probably obviates the need for the brief information that was already there but I didn't want to delete somebody else's contribution. Fyi&otherinfo (talk) 03:07, 8 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hi Fyi&otherinfo thanks for replying, but would you please respond to the questions I asked above? Thanks again. And again, you can reply here, just below this. I am "watching" this page so you don't have to worry that I won't see it.. Jytdog (talk) 20:35, 9 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
Would you please reply to the questions above? Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 18:10, 9 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Article talk pages

edit

Every article has an associated talk page, where we discuss ways to improve the article. For Antidepressant discontinuation syndrome, the talk page is at Talk:Antidepressant_discontinuation_syndrome. You can get to an article's talk page, by clicking the tab that is at the upper left corner of of every article. Please see WP:TPG for the norms on using article Talk pages. Thanks.
