In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to discussing meta:Wikimedia New York City issues (see the last meeting's minutes).
In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and (weather permitting) hold a late-night astronomy event at Columbia's telescopes.

Fair use rationale for Image:Crayola logo.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Crayola logo.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 21:42, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Well also make preparations for our exciting Wikipedia Takes Manhattan event, a free content photography contest for Columbia University students planned for Friday March 28 (about 2 weeks after our meeting).
In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and (weather permitting) hold a late-night astronomy event at Columbia's telescopes.

Mike's Steven Libutti Rant
I AM NOT STEVEN LIBUTTI. WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM WITH DR. LIBUTTI AND WHY DO YOU KEEP HACKING THE PAGE I AM EDITING? I DON"T WANT TO HAVE TO TAKE THIS UP WITH WIKIPEDIA EDITORIAL STAFF. JUST CUT IT OUT. SORRY FOR LEAVING THIS ON YOUR PAGE, BUT I KNOW YOU CAN REMOVE IT AND I DON"T KNOW HOW ELSE TO KEEP YOU FROM DEFACING A WIKIPEDIA PAGE.
RESPECTFULLY,
Mike (MFC8290) —Preceding unsigned comment added by MFC8290 (talk • contribs) 20:00, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Steven Libutti
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Steven Libutti. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. If you have issues with the article, please elaborate on them at the talk page. Since prevailing opinions among the editors is that notability is established, the more constructive route is to explain, at the talk page, what your specific concerns are with the article. —C.Fred (talk) 21:03, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for coming to Talk:Steven Libutti to discuss the article! Would that all issues of this nature went that smoothly. I have responded to both/all parties involved at the talk page, but I wish to make an additional comment here.
- My concern with edit warring/3RR related specifically to the {{Notability}} and {{Cleanup}} tags. I have re-added the Cleanup tag. I would ask that you not re-add the Notability tag. However, you are otherwise free to edit the article as you see fit. This includes adding other tags outside the area of notability. I have mentioned that you may be able to support tagging the article with {{COI}}. I would humbly suggest that for any tag you add (and especially COI) that you explain why you added it on the talk page.
- Again, thank you for discussing the article on the talk page. It's a much happier process for all involved with we can work with each other toward a solution instead of against each other. —C.Fred (talk) 02:18, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
