editIf you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Do you want the word "your" as part of your new username? 331dot (talk) 19:58, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
- sorry, it can just be Melissa at GG GableGotwalsLaw (talk) 20:05, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
- I've renamed you. You will need to go to Commons and ask them to help you adjust the copyright to indicate that you weren't the photographer but hold the copyright. Will you make further contributions consistent with the conflict of interest policy? If the Judge employs you, you would need to declare as a paid editor. 331dot (talk) 20:43, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. No, the only change I want to make is replacing his photo per the Judge's request. 207.162.153.68 (talk) 15:15, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- I'm assuming the above comment was made by you(you may log in with your new username). Orangemike Do you have any concerns about unblocking to allow her to change the.image? 331dot (talk) 16:50, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- Please do not edit via IP while your account is blocked. You personally are blocked, not just your account- you may not edit via any account or IP until this block is removed. We are volunteers- please be patient. 331dot (talk) 19:18, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think Melissa has any malign intent, but she doesn't seem to grasp the extent of our indifference to what the subject wants his article to look like; nor the sincerity of our rules against COI editing. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:43, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, Orangemike. Seeing the block evasion(even if without bad intent) doesn't help. 331dot (talk) 19:46, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
