Speedy deletion nomination of FixStream Network Inc
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on FixStream Network Inc requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Quinrm (talk) 11:35, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of FixStream
editHello Gajananimr,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged FixStream for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Whispering 13:32, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
Removal of speedy tags
editIt is not for you to decline the nomination for speedy deltion of your own article. Leave it for an admin to decide Jimfbleak - talk to me? 18:06, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for message. You can sign your comments automatically using four tildes ~~~~. I deleted your article because
- it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Your own site is not an independent source.
- it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: provides an in-depth data integration and analytics platform... an experienced team... significant expertise... long and successful.. speaks fluent Japanese and is an avid pilot. and much more in the same vein. It's a sales leaflet, not an encyclopaedia article
- it's all about what the company organisation does, little about the company itself other than locations. How many employees? Turnover? Profits? Has the company ever received negative publicity? Who are its competitors?
- there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections
- The article was created in a single edit without wikilinks or references, and looks as if was copied from an unknown and possibly copyrighted source.
- You have an obvious conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your organisation is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.
Some points you seem to be unaware of
editBefore you proceed further, you need to read the following:
- Wikipedia:Conflict of interest if you are associated with anything you've written about.
- Wikipedia is not a publicity medium and should never be used for that purpose.
- Wikipedia:Golden Rule describes the basic requirements for getting an article published.
- WP:CORP describes the criteria a company must meet before meriting an article here.
And finally, especially if you have a conflict of interest, you are better off submitting articles at Wikipedia:Articles for creation for a neutral reviewer to evaluate, instead of posting it yourself into main article space. ~Amatulić (talk) 19:38, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
