Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. It appears you have not followed this policy at HD Radio. Please always observe our core policies. Thank you. Hertz1888 03:20, 22 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Gata4001, you wrote, "independent voices are not tolerated here". More accurately, what is not allowed is personal POVs (especially obvious when loaded with invective and sarcasm), per WP:NOT#OR, WP:NPOV, WP:FORUM, etc. Please note that dissenting or non-neutral opinions of others may be introduced if supported by an expert and properly sourced with references. Wiki strives to be an encyclopedia, and is not a blog or forum for expressing one's own opinions. That policy applies to all articles and has nothing to do with what iBiquity might or might not desire. Hertz1888 10:17, 22 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism of HD Radio article

edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to HD Radio. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Fightingirish 07:41, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes I am sick and tired of you annoying edits. You have told again and again and AGAIN, not to add comments to the article that are opinions or "folksy" questions in the middle of the paragraphs. BUT YOU REFUSE TO LISTEN. You are being uncooperative and now your changes are vandalism. - Theaveng 09:58, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
On top of that, Gata isn't even providing adequate sourcing for the blatant POV stuff being added. I wonder if this is that same guy who spams all those HD Radio blog comment boxes with anti-HD stuff?
BTW, Aveng, you did a great job on the HD Radio article. Good information in there.--Fightingirish 18:50, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning.
The next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did to HD Radio, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Further, make sure that your edit summaries reflect the changes made. Leaving inaccurate summaries (such as saying grammar, when content changes are made) is highly frowned upon. Thanks. I have no stake (or interest for that matter) in HD Radio, just in Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia's primary guideline is Verifiability, not truth. And criticism is certainly acceptable (especially in the section in the article for it), but it needs to have a reliable source. (There's a whole page (or series thereof) as to what constitutes a reliable source). Wikipedia is not censored, so relevant material that's added and that meets those guidelines should be allowed to stay. (However, unsourced material that is disputed can be removed at any time, per policy). However, if you think there is POV-pushing on the article, the best way to handle it is to either follow dispute resolution or report it to the conflict of interest noticeboard.
In the future, discussing proposed changes, or provided reasons for changes in the edit summaries might be helpful, as it helps establish what's a valid edit. (And of course, you want to make sure those edit summaries reflect the changes made). Best, --Bfigura (talk) 21:35, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Gata. Do you have a link to the changes you made (or were you referring to the issues raised on the talk page)? (Ie, was it this?) It would make it easier for me to comment. But in general, if you're going to put in something that could somehow possibly be construed as opinion, make sure it's backed up by a reliable source. Let me know if there's something more specific you were asking, I'd be happy to help. Cheers, --Bfigura (talk) 15:32, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
