Gatewaycat
Hi Gatewaycat,
Sorry for the blatant spam, but you have yourself down as interested at WikiProject user warnings WP:UW. There is a discussion on going here that might be of interest to you about the future of this project. There are two strawpolls on the talk pages and the second one is about the future of the WP:UW project. Now we have the end in sight we are looking at wrapping up the project and merging it with Template messages/User talk namespace WP:UTM and creating a one stop shop for all userspace template issue. As you have yourself down as interested in this project we thought you may have some input on this issue, and would like you to visit the discussion and give any thoughts you may have on the matter. Cheers Khukri 10:21, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up! I just wish I'd jumped on the boat earlier, but I really admire what you guys have done—UWTs really are alot more accessible now. Note: I was too ambivalent to vote on the latest strawpoll on redirecting old templates; like many, I find the jumble of old UWTs quite frightening actually, but I do have templates I'd like to keep (like welcome templates, and more specific messages), and I'm sure others do too. I'm sure a middle ground will be found. --gwc 02:59, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

it's funny that you removed the serial comma from the text of this article concerning serial commas ... I've always assumed wikipedia style is to include them, since that's the norm for most of English outside the sty lebook. - DavidWBrooks 00:39, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
Catullus 64
editHi, I have merged your Wikisource sandbox into s:Catullus 64/Lines 50-253. It looks like it is nearly finished; any chance you could clean it up? John Vandenberg (talk) 13:25, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
About your editing for "Buddhism in China" in 2007
editYou put in a paragraph of quotation from Hou Hanshu (a translation by Mr. John Hill). I searched Hou Hanshu, but I could not find this paragraph. Where is this paragraph to be found, in ben-ji, zhi or lie-zhuan of Hou Hanshu?Suminxue (talk) 19:06, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Middlebury College
editThanks for updating and adding to the article about Middlebury College. Please note that Middlebury is considered the first "operating" college in the state because it was the first to hold classes in November 1800. It was also became the first Vermont institution to issue a college degree in Vermont in 1802; UVM followed in 1804. UVM was chartered in 1791, but like many early institutions, it had trustees but no faculty or students for a decade. Aiken1986 (talk) 04:25, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- That's wonderful news! (Middlebury being first operating/conferring, not UVM having no faculty or students) Incidentally, it looked like this New Englander article wasn't already cited in the article, so I put it into citation style, paraphrased your nota bene, and put them into a footnote ref. --gwc (talk) 08:14, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
I appreciate the work that went into template chapter, and while it works fine for the three letter chapters, but for one and two letter chapters, both the word default has to be deleted and additional vertical bars have to added to force one and two letter chapters over to the correct positions. I'm using it on List of Alpha Tau Omega chapters.Naraht (talk) 15:05, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
