As a follow up creating your article first in your personal sandbox means that you will have time to develop your article before other editors swoop in for analysis and editing of their own (which, if you have not yet included the appropriate sources is likely to include a nomination for deletion.

And as one of the good ways to use Wikipedia to help change the world (and there are many BAD ways that you shouldnt try) is to help attempt to overcome the systemic bias and address issues and topics that have traditionally not been heavily developed in Wikipedia.

And you can help not only by creating new articles but improving existing articles by adding good sources (you can find a lot of those here Category:Articles lacking sources) and addressing bias in the content. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 17:53, 23 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
