Please stop copying my edit summaries

edit

I'm quite sure most of the time and historically when I've seen your edits, you've hardly ever left edit summaries. Even though it's good that you are starting to do so more now, I wish you would not clearly copy what I write in my chart edits. I don't have claim to have some ownership over words now, but before I started writing "Added peak." and "Updated." in those exact configurations, nobody did. It looks like you're parroting me when you do this. Please write what you did in some other way; others might look at this and might think you're a dupe of me or vice versa and I don't want to be dragged into that. Thanks. My apologies, I’ll avoid that in the future! Gemsweater1 (talk) 20:12, 8 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:DontFeelLikeCryingSingle.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:28, 25 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

When adding references to articles

edit

Please observe the date format used. You recently expanded Cuz I Love You, but used dmy date format (18 April 2019) instead of mdy (April 18, 2019), which should be used, as Lizzo is American. As I have seen you add references to other articles before, it appears you don't ever really link the website in your references; you should, especially if it's the first or only instance of that name on the page. Also, it's good if you can imitate the citation order in your references. Ss112 11:29, 19 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

DYK for My First Album (Peppa Pig album)

edit

On 28 August 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article My First Album (Peppa Pig album), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Iggy Azalea joked with Peppa Pig on Twitter over My First Album's release date? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/My First Album (Peppa Pig album). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, My First Album (Peppa Pig album)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Regarding this edit you made, please see WP:USCHARTS. We do not add the Dance/Mix Show Airplay peak where the Dance/Electronic Songs peak is present. Thanks. Ss112 16:34, 3 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

I wasn’t aware of that, I apologize for the inconvenience. Gemsweater1 (talk) 17:22, 3 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Dragula

edit

Hi there, I just wanted to obtain another fellow editors opinion on a certain matter at hand with the user Tullyo. I see that you have left a message for them on their talk page in regards to vandalism. I feel like I may be experiencing a similar act from them on the The Boulet Brothers' Dragula page. I have made a compromise to add a note at the top of the contestant progression table (for season 3), where beforehand I felt like it was not needed and didn't add this note, but have since changed my mind on the matter in order to remain neutral and easy to work with. However, they seem to think their edits are the only valuable edits and seem to continue to re-add their edits, even though I have explained to them through the edit history that it was not needed and a compromise was given. Do you think this is something to worry over or not? I have come to a near decision to report them for their constant re-add and neglection to my reasoning, and after today, their note back to me gave me the impression that they saw no value in my opinions/edits and would rather edit the page the way that they want to. Thanks! MSMRHurricane (talk) 05:29, 10 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, MSMR. After looking at the editing history of the Dragula page, I would advise you to discuss this matter on the article’s talk page and get consensus from other editors in order to avoid an edit war. It appears both you and Tullyo have reached three reverts and per WP:3RR, going over that quota of reverts in less than 24 hours qualifies as an edit war. Try to see if other editors have an opinion on which denotation for that particular episode they prefer. As for Tullyo, I will warn them about remaining WP:CIVIL and remind them they do not own the article, given they did express WP:OWN behavior in their response to you. Thank you for bringing this up and best regards. Gemsweater1 (talk) 15:00, 10 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Cheers for your response, I have made a section on the articles talk page. If you want, please make your opinions on the matter known there. Thanks! MSMRHurricane (talk) 21:30, 16 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hey again, thanks for throwing in your opinion about the Dragula topic, appreciate it. However, the user Tullyo has not complied with giving their opinion and reasons, despite me warning them to share that on the talk page and they could be blocked if they refuse to. I'm just coming to you to see what the next step could be, would reporting them with such evidence be justifiable or not? Please let me know what we could do here, thanks again. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Therapy (Anne-Marie album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Calypso. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

citation vs cite

edit

In your edit of 20:28, 1 January 2018 of Incredible (Clique Girlz album), you introduced both {{Citation}} and {{Cite web}} templates in the article, which didn't use either one before. It's important to maintain a consistent citation style, which means, if an article already uses {{Citation}} or {{Cite ...}} templates, to stick with the type that are already used, and if doesn't use either one, don't introduce both at the same time. I changed the citation templates to cite templates. —Anomalocaris (talk) 03:59, 27 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
