Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! - I urge you to take another look at Wikipedia:How to edit a page and Wikipedia:Manual of Style. For example, article titles use a capitalized first word and (generally) lower case subsequent words, but when linking to one article from another, you can make the first letter lowercase (both helena, Montana and Helena, Montana link to that article).
- Regarding Music, I removed the section because it was redundant with sections above, poorly written, and I don't know what else music would be in besides society. For example, "The Music Industry is the industry that creates, performs, records, distributes, and promotes music, both in the form of compositions and performances" sounds a lot like "The music industry is that which creates, performs, and promotes music. A great deal of music is produced by amateurs," already found in the article, directly below a link to Music industry (lowercase "i"). See Talk:Music#Removed. Hyacinth 02:20, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)
