adoption?
editIf you're looking for an adopter, I can help out, if you like. I've been on Wikipedia for 2+ years. Ling.Nut (talk—WP:3IAR) 04:04, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
- I'm very informal. Consider it a working friendship rather than a formal program. Just ask me questions any time. Moreover, you can tell me the sorts of things you're interested in/want to do, and perhaps I can point you in the right direction. Ling.Nut (talk—WP:3IAR) 06:00, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Adoption
editDone. What do you need to know?Drew Smith What I've done 04:32, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
- Both are fairly easy. To add a pick, use the embed file button above, or simply type [[File:Example.JPG]], or [[Image:Example.JPG]]. There are more complicated codings that do interesting things. Some can be found here Wikipedia:IMAGE#Forced_image_size, and there are more out there.
- The other question refers to what is known in wikipedia as a "Userbox". Most wikiprojects have them, and a list of them appear here. If you scroll up on that page there is a quick how-to on creating userboxes, though it is much more complicated than they make it seem. However, when you find a userbox that you like, simply transcribe the name of it onto the desired spot. Example, {{User Aquarium Fishes}} shows up as . You can find the template usually on the project page of the person that made it.
This user is a member of WikiProject Aquarium Fishes. - How it works. Basically the text in the {{}} the actual template page used to make the userbox. If you search for "Template:User Aquarium Fish" you will find a page onsisting of nothing but this userbox. Edit that page, and you will see the coding used to make the box. Adding Userboxes isn't the hard part, it's finding where it is located that is difficult. Usually you can use the edit this page function to view the transcription as well. Just make sure not to accidentaly cange someones user page.Drew Smith What I've done 04:53, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Userpage
editDo you want me to help you make a cooler looking userpage? I can get you some userboxes if you give me a list of your interests too. Drew Smith What I've done 05:59, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Adoption
editI recently talked to a more experienced adopter, and saw that she had a very in depth and structured adoption program. It involved her etting out tasks for the adoptees, each with varying degrees of difficulty. I decided I wanted to use a similar method with any new adoptees I take on. However, since I adopted you before I started using this process, I wanted to give you a choice on this as we seemed to be doing fine with Q and A.Drew SmithWhat I've done 21:07, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Hi!
editHi Genymeniu, I just noticed we were both adopted by Drew. And I was bored, so I thought I'd post here and see if you reply. Stormcloud22 (talk) 00:15, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
