Welcome to Wikiproject Moon

edit

Good to see that you've joined the project. There's very little written about the petrology and composition of lunar rocks here! Lunokhod 10:31, 22 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

thanks - will do what i can. have not done any research on these in 6 years, so i will need to catch up on current thinking. but the rocks will be the same... Geodoc 01:03, 23 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I just wanted to say hi and that I'm glad to see you working on the ultramafic rock entries. I'd like to help get these in shape. We desperately need to add references. Aleta 12:55, 22 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I will try to pull references together in next week or two -its a little hectic right now at work. (ps is this the approved method for responding to comments, messages? I still have not figured out how all this works!) Geodoc 01:07, 23 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

It's fine. Some people respond as you did, on their own talk page. Others will respond on the respondee's page. If you post a message on someone's page, it's a good idea to add it to your watchlist so you can tell when you've gotten a reply. If they reply on your page, it's not an issue. Moon rocks

edit

This is just to let you know that I made a copy of your "moon rock" section and added it to Moon rock. I think that some of this material, if not all, should also be included in Geology of the Moon. Lunokhod 11:01, 30 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oops! I didn't even know this existed! Should i carry on with this under MOON or move it to MOON ROCKS?? Didn't know about geology of moon either. Since you know where everything is, let me know where I should put stuff. THANKS!! Geodoc 01:05, 31 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hiya, I notice you've edited the Volcanic margins page in the past. I was doing some tidying and found some bits of the page were cut and pasted from (at least) one of the sources, so I've had to tag it as a copyright violation. Its a shame as it was an interesting article, but I'm not sure what to do about it now. This is the first time I've come across a copyvio situation anyway, so I'm not quite sure how to proceed, and I'm hampered slightly by being a little out of my depth in the article too (I have a geology degree but its a bit rusty and the article was quite high level). I just wondered if you would be able to keep an eye on the page and help me resurrect it in some way?

WikiProjects Moon and Mars activity

edit

Hello there! As part of an effort to determine how many active editors are present in the space-related WikiProjects, some changes have been made to the lists of members of WikiProject Moon (here) and Mars (here). If you still consider yourself to be an active editor either of these projects, it would be appreciated if you would please edit the list so that your name is not struck out - thus a clearer idea of the number of active editors can be determined. Many thanks in advance!
