Speedy deletion nomination of Spiros Exaras
editHello George5454,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Spiros Exaras for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Erick Shepherd (talk) 00:02, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Erick Shepherd: Did you type the article's title into Google? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 00:39, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Ritchie333: Yeah, I'm actually in the process of editing the article now. I initially placed the tag on there because the lead didn't seem to contain a credible claim of significance and half the references linked to the subject's own website. I did some initial cleanup of the references, placed the article in a few categories, and am working on adding more substance. --Erick Shepherd (talk) 00:48, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- Okay, well in future please don't place a CSD tag in that context, as it's not what it's designed for and can upset and alienate newcomers. In particular, CSD A7 is supposed to mean "no reasonable person could ever make this a topic suitable for an encyclopedia - ever." Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 00:49, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
- I didn't get that impression from reading the CSD section for criterion A7. "This applies to any article ... that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant ... (but) does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance..." I apologize if I misunderstood. --Erick Shepherd (talk) 01:01, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

Sotareño (album) moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Sotareño (album), does not have sources and citations and cannot as written remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
