Hi Sion,

Here is a list of the references. Yes, the list contains book publishing houses, but I don't see how such references lack credibilty. I mean, they PUBLISH the titles.

There are three other newspaper references aside from the Northern Star including dailymail.co.uk, abc.net.au, thehoopla.com.au.

The fact she WAS an editor shows in itself her credibility.

Hi Sion

Can you please review my edit of the contribution on Candida Baker - Author. I have included many more references.

Many thanks

Georgina

Sorry, but I'm not convinced at the moment. The sources are mainly to book sales or book publisher sites. Though there is an article in The Northern Star, I would put much less weight on it because she was an editor of the newspaper.
Were any of her books widely reviewed? If one or more of her books was widely known she would meet Wikipedia's notability criteria for authors.
You need to try and write the article based on what has been said in secondary coverage that is independent and reliable. Saying "So-and-so wrote this important book<ref>Book on Amazon</ref> and that important news article<ref>that news article</ref>" isn't the correct way of doing things. Good luck! It's best to keep the conversation in one place. The Daily Mail article is not about Candida Francis (I can't even see a mention). The Hoopla source is to her own column, so not a secondary source. Book publishers and book sellers aren't reliable sources because they are trying to promote their products therefore are not neutral. Sionk (talk) 03:23, 6 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Not much has changed since I made my last comments (above). Please base the article on coverage about Baker (and her works) that are reliable and independent. It is easy to see, from the promotional tone of the article, that most of it is copy-pasted from Baker's website. If it is not rewritten in your own words, it will be blanked and deleted as a copyright violation. Sionk (talk) 12:56, 29 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
