Hello, GersonCool, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Brianda and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. ElKevbo (talk) 16:13, 15 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

ElKevbo, thanks for the information. I am currently enrolled in a class as a student editor and have been assigned to update this article. I was not aware of "edit wars" and did not know about BRD. I am working to make updates to the last section and have just posted my attempt. As this is my first try at editing on Wikipedia, and am not used to writing with a neutral tone, I expected some criticism. I am looking over my piece now and trying to remove opinions and "call to action" items. While I'm unsure that someone who commented in September 2022 would actually respond to a discussion of this topic, I would appreciate any specific items that you could point to in my contribution that need revision or elimination. Thank you. GersonCool (talk) 21:24, 15 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
