Nomination of Creative Disc Year-End Chart for deletion

edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Creative Disc Year-End Chart is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Creative Disc Year-End Chart until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Mediran (tc) 09:06, 1 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I see that you have blanked the article. I have deleted it, according to your wishes. If you wish to recover the content, don't hesitate to ask me! Regards, -- Luk talk 09:17, 1 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
Yes, i deleted that article. Sometime i will recover the content, so wait for that time and I will ask you. Ggdlmnt (talk) 09:23, 1 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
No problem. I can move it right now to your user space so you can work on it, or you may request undeletion at Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion when you feel like it. Cheers! -- Luk talk 09:28, 1 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Help:Userspace draft

edit

Hey Ggdlmnt and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contributions! Yey! Anyway, I suggest you to use a draft in creating new articles. Because as what happened earlier, you're needing more time in improving your article. With a draft, you can take your time in adding what is appropriate in the article without a hurry or a feeling that "my article might be deleted". It's just a suggestion but I'm sure it will help you. Also, please read WP:GNG, WP:V or WP:CHARTS for more info. Thanks, Mediran (tc) 09:27, 1 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hey Mediran and thank you! Haha. Thank you for your help, I'm new here so I need more advice like this. So, once again thank you for your help! CheersGgdlmnt (talk) 09:31, 1 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Creative Disc

edit

Can you show me any sources that show that Creative Disc is an acceptable source of charts? Newspapers that publish it? Record companies that issue press releases about their positions on it? Sources showing that Creative Disc is affiliated with the IFPI, Nielsen, or another nationally recognized measurement firm? It won't pass WP:Record charts unless you can, and {{singlechart}} only points at charts that pass guidelines.—Kww(talk) 00:35, 2 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

In that case, you should not be adding the chart to any articles: they don't pass our guidelines for inclusion.—Kww(talk) 00:56, 2 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
It shouldn't be in any articles. Read WP:Record charts#Suitable charts.—Kww(talk) 01:20, 2 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

The Croatian chart is from Croatian Radiotelevision, the official national broadcaster of Croatia, and reports data for all Croatian radio stations. Rádio Top 100 Oficiálna is published by the Hungarian branch of the IFPI. The Official Lebanese Top 20 is published in seven different magazines as well as being broadcast on two different television networks (including MTV) and one radio network.—Kww(talk) 22:50, 3 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Friendly caution

edit

I can't help but notice that your edits include both the Creative Disk charts and the Venezuelan Pop Rock General chart. Today, I had considerable trouble with an editor from Spain that was insisting on including the Creative Disk charts and making false edits involving the Venezuelan Pop Rock General chart. That's a big coincidence, so I just wanted to make sure that you are aware that it isn't permitted to edit anonymously and while logged in on the same topic, or to communicate off-wiki with other editors and encourage them to make edits for you.—Kww(talk) 01:20, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia keeps track of every edit you make: like this one and this one. Care to claim that you've never made edits related to the Venezuelan Pop Rock General chart again?—Kww(talk) 01:35, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Editing without reliable reference

edit

Hi, sure, it's alright. As long as the source is indeed correct, you can cite them to the Wikipedia page. If you use citations, then unknown IP users will not easily change them anymore as well. Ccliman (talk) 12:17, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Just saw this discussion. No, it is not OK to add information without a reliable source, and, if your information includes mention of a living person, can result in being blocked, even if the information is true.—Kww(talk) 15:28, 4 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Fifth Harmony - The X Factor USA.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Fifth Harmony - The X Factor USA.jpg, which you've attributed to The X Factor USA. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Nearly every edit you have made today has either not included a source or says something that isn't in the sources in the article. Don't do that. It is not my job to clean up after you. It isn't anybody's job to clean up after you. If you can't provide a reliable source for the information that you are adding to articles, then don't add it.—Kww(talk) 00:08, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

So, okay i forgot to give a source. It comes from Billboard. Is that the reason I got blocked? Ggdlmnt (talk) 06:49, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Let's see. You were warned about adding unsourced material and material from blogs. You had a bunch of edits reverted specifically because they were unsourced. You were told you would be blocked the next time. You then went and undid the reversions that had specifically called out that the reason for the reversion was that the material was unsourced (see the edit summary?), gave no explanation for the reversion, and still didn't point to a reliable source. Now, you say that you "forgot" to add the source. Why do you think you were blocked?—Kww(talk) 07:26, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
I don't know exactly why i get blocked, thats why im asking you. And i'm a human right? i do forgot sometimes. You can't blame me if I forgot something.Ggdlmnt (talk) 07:36, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
You were blocked because you repeated misbehaviour after a final warning. The idea that you could forget to add a source when reverting an edit that specifically said "unsourced" is pretty unbelievable. Do you seriously want me to believe that when you reverted seven edits in four minutes that you could forget that the edit summary said "unsourced" inbetween seeing the edit and pressing the undo button?—Kww(talk) 07:41, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'm going to bed now. What I'm really looking for here is a credible reason to believe that this kind of problem won't repeat itself, and a big part of that is believing that you both understand the problem and are willing to be honest about it. This set of reverts is one thing. Your earlier set of reverts where you put Indonesian columns a second time after falsely claiming you hadn't done so earlier, following the set of edits where you continued to add the Creative Disc charts even after you were aware that the consensus was that the chart was unusable all make me skeptical. I'm still listening, though: talk. Try to convince me that you understand what you are doing wrong and won't do it any more.—Kww(talk) 07:53, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Okay I know i'm wrong if you reversed to Creative Disc case. I'm not doing that again. Even when I use Indonesian chart column, I didn't put any Creative Disc thing in that too. And, for the unsourcable edit, i've almost never use Edit summary everytime I edit any articles. I'm sorry, i was like have no idea what was that until a few days ago. Ggdlmnt (talk) 09:52, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
The edit summary is a minor part. The problem is that when you were completely aware that the material had been objected to as unsourced, you put it back and, when confronted about it, you told a lame story. You did a very similar thing with this edit where you also restored unsourced numbers for no apparent reason. You should never include unsourced material in the first place, but it's even worse to put unsourced material back in after it has been removed. Why do you keep doing that?—Kww(talk) 14:12, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Well, im not the first person to put Indonesia column in that page. Im just adding new albums in there. And, when i put that charts back, i already find the source in Indonesian page of that articles. Im sorry, i think its like an official for an airplay chartsGgdlmnt (talk) 16:20, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
This would go faster if you actually answered my questions. Look at this edit for example. You added back material that had been removed. You claimed that the album had hit number 1 on the Indonesian charts when you know that there's no Indonesian chart. You inserted claims that the album had sold 2,000,000 copies worldwide, and specific claims of 1,000,000 sales in Indonesia; 150,000 in Malaysia; and 15,000 in Singapore, all without a single source. Why did you insert data that you had no source for? Are you copying data from http://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diskografi_Anggun to English Wikipedia? You can't do that: you can't even copy data from English Wikipedia to English Wikipedia.—Kww(talk) 16:58, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'm not copying data. I'm just making a new articles using some sources in Indonesian Wikipedia. And if you blocked me because of that, it's funny because I edited that articles on May 14, and you give me a final warning on May 16, and then I don't think I edited it again. Request reason:

I promise that I'm not gonna add any Indonesian charts to any songs/albums/discographies articles. And if I found something about Indonesian Airplay Charts, I'm gonna ask User:Kww first befor adding it. Promise. Thank you :) Ggdlmnt (talk) 11:14, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

From the discussion below it is unclear if you even understand the reason for the block, so it would be unwise to lift it at this time. Beeblebrox (talk) 17:21, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

You are still missing the point. It isn't the Indonesian charts, it's the blog sourced material, wiki sourced material, and unsourced material. The charts are just one example.—Kww(talk) 15:07, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
I think the last one is when i publish Billboard charts before it was published on the web right? Ggdlmnt (talk) 16:22, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
That was when I decided that you didn't understand what you needed to do, yes. It wasn't the only thing you had done wrong, though. It was just one more in a long list. Talking to you, it doesn't seem like you understand why what you are doing is wrong. You've never really answered my questions about this edit, for example. Why did you revert that edit? Why did you think that putting in all those numbers about sales when there was no source for the numbers was a good idea?—Kww(talk) 16:30, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
It was there before i adding any albums. here. I'm just adding it back just like before i edit anything. Ggdlmnt (talk) 17:05, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Why did you add it back? I had gone through and fixed the problems with the article, and you put all the problems back in. Why? That's the question I keep asking that you don't answer. Why did you think it was better to have an article full of unsourced numbers and chart positions? Why did you put put them back in? Why did you put those Billboard positions back in without a source when they had been removed for being unsourced?—Kww(talk) 17:16, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'm just adding it back just like before i edit anything. You know? I'm just adding that thing again. Because it was sourced for me, this. You blame me because i get caught? I mean, it's not fully my false. I'm just adding it back like the original one before i edit anything. And for the Billboard, it was sourced. you can see it on billboard charts RIGHT NOW Ggdlmnt (talk) 17:31, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
There was never a link to pxdrive.com in the article. There wasn't one there before you edited it. There wasn't one there after you edited it. Even if there was, it's a copy of an old Wikipedia article that cannot be used as a source. Things can't be "sourced for you". That doesn't even make sense. They are sourced by including the information about where the data came from in the article. Your refusal to do that, your complete lack of understanding about what constitutes a reliable source, and your constant inclusion of material without showing where it is from is the reason you are blocked. I can't refuse your unblock request because I'm the one that blocked you in the first place. Some other admin will review this discussion. I will say that I don't believe you will ever understand how to edit correctly.—Kww(talk) 17:51, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

As an additional note to any reviewing admin, Ggdlmnt is simply lying about the effects of his edits to Anggun discography. He performed a large series of edits, I removed a large amount of unsourced material, and his reverts put the article back the way it was at the completion of his edits, not the way it was before he touched it, as he claims above.—Kww(talk) 18:15, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

not the way it was before he touched it, as he claims above. It's completely not true. I reverted it back like the way before. I add it back the Indonesian charts and the certifications like the way before. this is my first edit of the article and you can see the charts and certifications is already there. And my first edit was changing IND to IDN. And my last edits was only moving Mimpi, Takut, Tua Tua Keladi, Yang Hilang to compilation albums and adding Best-Of: Design of a Decade to compilation albums too. And adding Open Hearts too, and also put some songs. And also that was before i get my final warning, if that was the reason i got blocked and I'm doing nothing after my final warning, I shouldn't be blocked if the reason was about Anggun Discography, because it was befor I got my final warning, like I said, before. So what Kww said, performed a large series of edits was moving some albums from studio albums to compilation albums, becaus it's compilation albums. And then removed a large amount of unsourced material was Kww delete any charts from Indonesia and Malaysia, also delete a certifications that already there before i edit enything, so i revert all bak the way it was.
And if the Billboard thingy is my problem, i edit a charts that not published yet to the website, but then it comes from some forum, i knew it's not a reliable source so i didn't put any sources yet, and Kww delete all my changes. And the next day, the charts published by Billboard then i revert all back. Ggdlmnt (talk) 23:33, 19 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
How can you describe reverting every change that I made while keeping every change that you made as only "putting it back the way it was before"?
This is why I don't think it would be reasonable to ever unblock you. Not only do you lie when confronted about problems with your edits (things like that you "forgot" to include sources for Billboard, or that you had "never edited the Venezuelan Pop General chart" when you clearly had, or that you hadn't added columns that you had added), you tell lies that are easily checked. It's like you hope that you can trick us into unblocking you. —Kww(talk) 00:07, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
I said I MOVE SOME ALBUMS TO COMPILATION ALBUMS but I revert the the Indonesian charts and the certifications back. Understand? For the Venezuelan Chart, I only add some songs, that's it! and it's sourced. What i mean is, i thought you blame me for something on Venezuelan Charts that i didn't do lke maybe violation. Ggdlmnt (talk) 04:25, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
I only brought up the Venezuelan charts again to point out that your first reaction to most challenges to your edits is to either lie about having done it or lie about your reason for having done it. You didn't get blocked for making one mistake. You got blocked for making bad edit after bad edit, not learning from warnings, and your habit of lying about your edits when they are challenged.—Kww(talk) 05:04, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
First, you can'T blame me and judge me as a liar. I'm forget I told you this like for i dont know how many times. And, i told the SORRY word for 3 times. I forgot something, and that's so human. You can't just judge me as a liar while god didn't, dude seriously. THAT WAS A FEW TIMES BEFOR I GOT FINAL WARNING.
Let's be very, very clear: if I find you posting data from a forum again, you will be blocked indefinitely. This is your final warning.—Kww(talk) 01:36, 16 May 2013 (UTC) that's what you write on May 16, and I didn't made anything wrong like the crap you told above. That's so awful when you still use my mistake before i got warned. I'm not saying that you were wrong and I'm not saying that i was right either. I made mistake, i forgot something, I SAY SORRY. I DO APOLOGIZE like the hell. I just can't stand with the fact you blame me everything i've done. For the Anggun Discography case, you can also blame the people who made it first befor i edit it back like the original one. Ggdlmnt (talk) 05:38, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of S4 (band)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on S4 (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Krystaleen 15:14, 11 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:05, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
