Vaticinia Nostradami
editGiancarlo, I imaging you might remember me from the Nostradamus talk page (the spinoffs were quite good by the way). I'm looking at the Vaticinia Nostradami (yes, the title needs to be changed) but I'm having some difficulty understanding some of the passages. However, since I can read both Spanish and Italian (the former is the easier of the two for me), I'm using those pages to edit the English version. I'm not going to add anything, I'm just going to get it into good English. Just thought I'd let you know. Jim62sch 13:31, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
- OKI ! (Wikipedia pages are like sons, You made them, you raised them, but someday they go away, and we hope they don't go very far!) --Giancarlo Rossi 22:10, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
Giancarlo: as the main Nostradamus article and 'Nostradamus in popular culture' have now been footnoted, would you care to do the same with Vaticinia? --PL 16:48, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Lando-Buzzanca.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Lando-Buzzanca.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 16:13, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Venezuelan Coat of Arms image
editHi Giancarlo, I'm working on changing PNG images to their SVG counterparts, and the Venezuelan Coat of Arms image in the userbox on your user page is the PNG. The SVG has a clear background, and consequently looks awful if the two images are simply swapped. I also tried changing the background on the image part to white, but that looked fairly awful as well. Can you make the change so it looks OK to you, so we can clean up the old image? Thanks, — Wwagner 23:05, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
Warning
editThe Image:Matrix smithheadfrontcropstandinginhallwaylookingforwards.gif included in your userpage is a fair use image and should not be included in userspace, per WP:USER and WP:FAIR. The image could be deleted from your userspace in the future without warning in order to avoid copyright infringement. I know it sucks, but it is also policy. Please adhere to it. Guttuso
editA "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Guttuso, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. 172.149.126.24 13:31, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

A fractional ordering for Nostradamus quatrains ?
edit== Please read this: a fractional ordering for Nostradamus quatrains ? == <b> Fractional ordering (1/243) suggests Husseim Barack Obama will be next American President... </b> <pre> In quatrain II.43 there is evidence that my interpretation of X.89 was correct: Q. 2.43 seems to be a overview of a not-so-long historic period... with the passage of a Comet... (maybe Comet Mc.Naught, the brigthest in forty years). II.43 Durant l'estoille chevelue apparente, Les trois grands princes seront fait ennemis: Frappez du ciel paix terre tremulente, Pau,Timbre undans, serpent sus le bort mis.C2Q43 II.43 (Eng) During the appearance of the crinite (haired) star, the three great princes shall be made enemies: Struck from the sky, peace, earth quaking, Po, Tiber overflowing, SERPENT placed upon the shore. SERPENT could be the BISCIONE, symbol of the city of MILAN, adopted in the 80s by SILVIO BERLUSCONI. SERPENT = THE FALSE CATHOLIC POPE ? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1/243 = 0,00411522633744855966 IV.11 He who shall have the government of the great (white) cape, (The Pope) Will be induced to perform several deeds: The twelve red ones (cardinals) who shall come to soil their cloth, Under murder, murder shall come to be perpetrated. -> This could be the increasing opposition against the Pope, that I personally witnessed, when I saw several cardinals opposing their backs to Pope G.P. II during his passage (during the ordering of a friend Monseigneur). V.22 Before the great one has given up the ghost at Rome, Great terror for the foreign army: The ambush by squadrons near Parma, Then the two red ones shall celebrate together. -> A terrorist attack near Parma (northern Italy). The Pope dies of natural death (of heart-ache). two cardinals, soon to become schismatic Popes, would celebrate his funeral, simulating pain and union. IV.33 His last hand through "Alus" sanguinary, He shall be unable to protect himself by sea: Between two rivers he shall fear the military hand, The BLACK and IRATE one will make him sorry. -> The BLACK OBAMA will punish Alus (Osama) after his last hand of poker, his last horrible attack against American forces in Iraq or elsewhere. IRATE = IRAq EmirATE (or maybe was General Powell) VII.44 This quatrain is maybe about an attack made by Al-Qaeda in the future against a person in Spanish Royal Family. VIII.55 He will find himself shut in between two rivers, (Tigris & Eufrates, enclosing Mesopotamia) Thunders and caqui-dressed joined to cross beyond: eight bridges broken, their chief run through so many times, perfect children's throats slit by the knife. IX.66 There will be peace for the UNION* and... CHANGE, Estates, offices, low (go) high and high (go) very low: They will dress the trip suit, after getting the fruit of the first (DESERT) STORM, War to cease, civil process, debates. *(UNION ...d'Anglique Geniture? -> United States of America) "CHANGE" is the motto proposed by Senator Barack OBAMA X.77 Thirty adherents of the order of "Quirites" Banished, their possessions seized by their adversaries: All their benefits will be taken as misdeeds, FLEET DISPERSED, delivered to the Corsairs. --> The "QUIRITES" originally where the roman noble-men, originally all roman citizens with the right to vote for some type of charge, received the title of Quirites. Successively was applied mainly to SENATORS. This quatrain could indicate a punishment against Senators in Italy or in the United States (or both). FLEET DISPERSED: This maybe is a big military defeat of an American fleet in Hormuz Strait. (carriers Enterprise and Invincible sunk) (I should open the quatrain with the Kabs). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Giancarlo Rossi
Moving some images from the Italian Wikipedia to Commons
editHello, I noticed you edit on both the English Wikipedia and the Italian Wikipedia. I have added some photos that were already on Commons to commons:Category:Wind power in Italy. (I am seeking photos to add to a Wind power in Italy article I am starting on the English Wikipedia.) I searched on the Italian Wikipedia for wind power images not already on Commons, and I found two which I would like to use on the English Wikipedia:
- it:Immagine:Passo Monte Croce Carnico 1.jpg (to add to Plöcken Pass, as it appears on it:Passo di Monte Croce Carnico)
- it:Immagine:Poggi Alti 10(3).jpg (to add to Wind power in Italy, or at least to commons:Category:Wind power in Italy)
Are you familiar with moving images to Commons? I may try to move them, but I hesitate somewhat because I don't speak Italian, and I am not sufficiently familiar with the image moving process to try it for the first time on a Wikipedia I cannot easily read. If nobody beats me to it, I might attempt the move after I practice the technique from some images on the English Wikipedia. --Teratornis (talk) 00:03, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for your help. I replied on my talk page. --Teratornis (talk) 03:54, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
- Invece Answers ci fa i soldi, eccome !
Beh. sentiamoci...Ub (talk) 09:47, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
Ma andate a cagare
editMa andate a cagare entrambi ! Hanno fatto bene a bloccarvi e io spero che vi diano l'infinito altro che revoca dell'adminship. Siete 2 fascisti ! Giancarlo oltre che fascio sei uno zozzone ! Ub è una fetecchia umana ! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.17.95.145 (talk) 16:49, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Io non sono un fascio e non sono neppure bloccato !!!

Help wanted from Italian speaker
editHi Giancarlo. I am randomly messaging a few users listed at [[Category:User_it-N]] in the hope of getting input into a disagreement on the OR noticeboard regarding the use of an Italian language source. The basic question is whether a particular source can or cannot be used to support particular article content. Users currently involved in the discussion (me included) do not have a high level of proficiency in Italian, so a little help would be appreciated. If you have the time to spare, thanks in advance and the discussion is here: Wikipedia:No_original_research/Noticeboard#Murder_of_Meredith_Kercher.--FormerIP (talk) 23:14, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:600full-kalani-kokonuts.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:600full-kalani-kokonuts.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 13:34, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Please explain this edit on my talk page
editYour edit [1] says "And the same for you" which is a bit of a mystery. What does it mean? I've asked you to leave edit summaries. I left edit summaries, so it's hard to see how your comment can refer to that. By the way, you should have signed your edit with four tildes. Dougweller (talk) 13:37, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if you are trying to be funny or what. I leave edit summaries for almost every edit I do (excepting reverting vandalism) - that can easily be seen by looking at my contributions. You seem to never leave edit summaries. Please explain why you left a note on my talk page saying I don't leave edit summaries. Dougweller (talk) 13:47, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
File:Edgar Peña Parra.jpg needs authorship information.

Position of Giancarlo Rossi about the Krimean war
editGiancarlo Rossi August 31, 2022 at 6:48 pm Your comment is awaiting moderation. And ISLAM WILL WIN, because of the CHRISTIAN CIVIL WAR… between UKRAINE and RUSSIA. Krimea once belonged to the MUSLIM TATARS. Was conquered by the Russian Empire in 1783. (When the United States of America still had not bought LOUISIANA… it was done in 1803). CALIFORNIA and TEXAS were still part of MEXICO, (were conquered in 1846-1849 after the USA-Mexican war). Premier KRUSCIOV (first secretary of the Soviet Union Communist Party) gave Krimea to Ukraine, when there was no sight of a dissolution of the Soviet Union, also to “calm” Ukrainians because of the open wound of HOLOMODUR. After a referendum, recognized as valid by UN observers, Krimea detached from Ukraine. And NOW we are risking NUCLEAR WAR WITH RUSSIA, because BIDEN, OBAMA, NULAND, BLINDEN are totally corrupted and ignorant, and don’t care of making mincemeat of the Ukrainian soldiers. As predicted in the XXXth Sura of the Khoran, the armies of Islam will CONQUER ROME (after Saudi Arabia joins the Russia-China anti-western alliance, after OMAR MOSQUE will be demolished or moved). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.191.227.109 (talk) 17:11, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
