Ulmus minor map
editMap much appreciated, with so much detail. We were in Spain (Almeria, Cabo de Gata, Punta Negra) in January, and sure enough, we could find no elms there at all. I collected seed in Israel (Jerusalem), and also remember seeing ancient U. minor 'Atinia' (syn U. procera) on the island of San Miguel in the Azores (not shown!). Regards, Ptelea (talk) 21:23, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Pletea, thanks for your feedback, always welcome. According your observations in Almeria and Jerusalem, the map seems to work well. Concerning Azores, I will update the map with the new presence. Do you know if the species is native or synanthropic? Giovanni Caudullo (talk) 11:33, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
- After a first research for Azores and Canary Islands, Ulmus minor is present but not native. Do you have some other info?
- Regret no more information about the Azorean elm, but synanthropic in places, eg a street tree in Ponta Delgada. Regards, Ptelea (talk) 14:54, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
