Time of Eichman's death

This has been discussed before. Please look at the subject talk page, the time of death thread, and continue the discussion if you have new thoughts or ideas. Your colleague, Simon. Irondome (talk) 22:15, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Admiral of the Fleet (Royal Navy)

edit

I have reverted your attempt to move Admiral of the Fleet (Royal Navy). If you look at Talk:Admiral of the Fleet (Royal Navy) you will see that there was a move request a year ago and that there was no consensus for a move. If you want to move it, try starting a new move request. --David Biddulph (talk) 09:45, 18 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Wilhelm Krüger

edit

First, Gkml, thank you for notifying me of the proposed deletion, and I conclude that you're right. Although I have seen (usually) reliable and verifiable sources such as this Associated Press report that circulated at the time [1], it appears that the news of the assassination was actually a false alarm about an unsuccessful attempt against Friedrich-Wilhelm Krüger in Poland in the spring of 1943 and that the reports of the day misidentified him [2]. That being the case, I'm okay with deleting the article (which I think I posted more than 10 years ago) entirely. Mandsford 17:25, 20 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

I thank you for the answer, Mandsford : indeed that article was created in 2007. And at the time of the assassination attempt, the US press had difficulties to get precise information from occupied Europe, above all from Poland and about the complex SS organisation. Regards. --Gkml (talk) 17:37, 20 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
