Hoary (talk) 11:35, 18 March 2022 (UTC)Bibliographic information
editFirst, thank you for working on Japanese photographers who are little known among people who don't happen to read Japanese -- photographers who are neither celebrities nor currently fashionable.
WorldCat is a wonderful concept, but in reality it's rather a mess. If you look up a particular edition of a particular book in it, you often find half a dozen or more entries. One or two of them may be both informative and error-free, if you're lucky. If a book has an ISBN, then adding an OCLC number is usually pointless (unless you hope to steer the reader away from the defective entries and towards a/the good one). As I suppose you know, OCLC numbers are almost useless within Japan, and if there's no ISBN for a Japanese book (and if I have the energy), I like to add both a/the OCLC number and the NCID. (You'll see this combination in the article Teikō Shiotani, for example.) I avoid linking to either an OCLC number or an NCID in a way that might suggest to the reader that the book (and not just a description of it) will be available simply by clicking their mouse.
All the best in your editing work! -- Hoary (talk) 06:29, 19 March 2022 (UTC)

Ryuichi Kaneko moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Ryuichi Kaneko, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. editHello, Gnakazato. Thank you for your work on Ashiya Camera Club. User:Netherzone, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
Thank you for creating this article! I noticed that a maintenance tag for notability was placed on the article. I added three citation, and am wondering if you might be able to add additional content and citations to establish notability per Wikipedia guidelines, especially WP:GNG. Again, thanks!

editHello, Gnakazato. Thank you for your work on Chie Matsui. User:Netherzone, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
Thank you for creating the article on Chie Matsui, an interesting Japanese woman artist. I noticed that the article is an orphan (meaning no other articles link to it). Please consider adding a link from relevant related articles to the Matsui article. I too will help with this. Thanks again for creating the article.

editHello, Gnakazato. Thank you for your work on Kozo Nishino. User:Netherzone, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
Thank you for creating the article. It could be improved by adding more biographical content as well as more content on his art work. I added an additional newspaper review, so he now meets GNG as well as NARTIST per his public art works. Again, thanks for the article on this interesting Japanese sculptor.

editHello, Gnakazato. Thank you for your work on Yoshio Kitayama. 9H48F, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
A notable Japanese artist but hard to read with the reliance on quotations. It would be great if those could be consolidated/rewritten so readers could easily understand Kitayama's work. Additionally, Source #3 from the National Library of Australia doesn't link correctly (at least for me).
