Fair use rationale for File:Hammer editor logo.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Hammer editor logo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:21, 20 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Hammer editor logo.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Hammer editor logo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:22, 20 September 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:22, 20 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Adoption request

edit

Hello there, Goldenfiremech! I'm Netalarm and I have been around for quite some time now. I'm messaging you because I've noticed that you've indicated that you want to be adopted on your user page. I'd be more than happy to help you find a match for an adopter. All you have to do is fill out the survey located here so I can have the necessary information to match you up. Of course, you may also choose your own adopter - the instructions to do so are also on that page. If you have any questions, feel free to message me on my talk page.

Once again, welcome to Wikipedia! Netalarmtalk 22:32, 23 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

You've got an adopter!

edit

Hi! RobertMfromLI has agreed to adopt you. What do you two have in common? An interest in games.Your adopter will help you get acquainted to Wikipedia editing, policies, and other relevant guidelines. Depending on the tasks you want to do on Wikipedia, your adopter may mentor you on topics such as article writing, counter-vandalism, or any of the many tasks available on Wikipedia. If you need help, feel free to message your adopter on his talk page, message me, or use {{helpme}} on your talk page for fast help. Netalarmtalk 04:19, 26 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi Goldenfiremech! It appears I'm your chosen mentor! I've looked over the survey you filled out, and think I may be a good match. I love video games, am good at researching cities (am fond of architecture and city histories), and though sometimes my talk page notes aren't perfect in grammar or punctuation (including an overly fond usage of ellipses), I do have a decent vocabulary in the English language. :-) Also, I think you will find me a very patient mentor, with very few requirements: (1) The only stupid question is the one you do not ask, (2) be civil to all even if they are not civil to you, (3) always try to adhere to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Pretty simple stuff.
I will be away from tonight until Oct 4th (or 7th) and will have limited internet access, but will check back for messages as frequently as possible. Please feel free to check out my userpage, feel free to let me know if you have any questions and feel free to drop a note on my talkpage to introduce yourself to my other adoptees and my helpful (talk page stalker)s. Best, Robert ROBERTMFROMLI TALK/CNTRB 21:06, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
